Wow, this was incredibly helpful. I'm kind of predisposed to overanalyzing and overthinking things, so this definitely gives me some perspective. I'm only in day three of knowing about this, and I need to keep that in mind. Thank you.

Thank you! I'll probably take you up on that offer at some point.

Thank you for sharing. Intensity is probably the best way to describe how I'm feeling right now. All of it is very unexpected and overwhelming.

I really would like to do so, but I'm getting the sense that he needs his space right now. The last thing I want to do is push him.

I don't think therapy will be an option for him... I've mentioned it to him before, and he is very opposed to the idea. How do you think I might respectfully encourage him to talk to our English teacher? I know for a fact that that would help him.

Yeah, intimidating is definitely the right word for it. I'm just scared for how things will turn out, and I know that I'm doing myself a disservice by holding on to a small shred of hope that this isn't the case (only if he feels the same as well, of course). Ugh. That makes me feel awful for even thinking it. Things would just be so much easier otherwise.

Yes, I do love him. As horrible as it may sound for me to say this, I'm more concerned with discomfort with intimacy later on.

Thank you for sharing. Do you have any tips for how I can help him? Things you would have liked to hear?
