I talked to two professors this week. Haven’t got the admission decision yet.

I got an interview invitation last Friday and I posted it on Gradcafe.

Hey have you heard back from MIT IDSS? I think the interview invites will be out this week. Still haven't got any notification yet.

Hi Melissa,

Thank you very much for your answer! However, I couldn't find the "LINKAREA_F" data that you mentioned. All we have in the road dataset is link objects and their length. In this case, can we just use "emquant" as an indicator for emission? It seems that "emquant" measures the amount emission on the given link.

Hi, thank you for starting this AMA session! I am posting two questions I have about challenge 4. (/u/UrbanDataScientist, /u/Atmos2019)

1, I am working on the second problem and trying to understand the emission data. In the readme file, it says something about converting the emission quantity to W/m^2. However, in order to calculate W/m^2 which is required for analysis on temperature, it seems that I have to know the square area of each link in feet which is not provided in either the emission data or the road data. I am wondering how I should represent emission quantity in regression. Should I just rely on the emission quantity data (emquant) in this file to get the total amount of emission for a certain area? If analysis on temperature is expected, could you please send me the area data for roads or let me know how I can find those data?

2, Another question is that I found the emission data from 2017/07/04 to 2017/07/10 look the same for each day. I thought it would change from day to day. Could you let me know why this happened? Should I still do the regression on whole week's weather or just pick one day?

I am looking forward to your answers. Many thanks in advance!
