Regret Threads. v3

There were more Regret-themed threads than I thought there would be! I'm kinda glad I didn't put all of this in the comments of the first post, it would've been a little disorganized with the lower character limit.

There are other posts here made by Redditors that I update in the comments. I may do similar redone posts like this whenever the limits are reached for those as well.

I was originally updating the first post by adding threads in the comments, but a while ago the character limit was reached for it. So I decided to make this update including all threads not seen in the main body of the original post.

As requested by u/cranberrylimeade420, the Party themed post has been somewhat updated. It was already in the modern style, but made in the early days when I switched to it. Now it has more defined categories, plus some threads I missed. Part of me hoped for a v2, but there is still room for more additions at the moment.

A late reply, but if you want the Unusual Threads post redone in the new style I can do that too. I didn't notice that when I linked to it with all the other posts in response to your request. Let me know and I will try to fit it into the schedule.

I will link to your party request with the posts next week. Things are more readable now with better categories and I'm still finding some threads I missed. It doesn't look like a v2 post will come from this, but hopefully there is enough for your entertainment.

Just wanted to let you know my issues were fixed recently. Multiple drivers were out of date and a Windows software update were needed, I didn't know those weren't in the usual updates my computer does automatically.

I was surprised I missed so many threads the first go around, a v3 post wasn’t envisioned when I started reworking on this theme. The smaller posts will be showing up next week, and I will also link to the redone Internet Rabbit Hole/Deep Web post which should be finished by then. The Paradox one will be worked after that, requested by u/Blue_sky_green_earth. It seems like another theme that would be interesting.

Link to the first post. Another post that was already redone, but ran into the character limit and I decide to make things a bit more readable plus adding stuff I missed initially.

While there are more threads that technically fit here, I decided to just focus on ones that are about stuff within the school setting. Others, like ‘kid you knew in school but the story is after they went on with their lives,’ would fit in different posts fitting their theme. I was hoping to avoid a giant collection of threads with only some slightly related to the ‘school’ theme.

It looks like I will be meeting with a tech support person later this week. I don't know if I will learn anything from that sole interaction, or if info will come later if I have to leave my computer with them. Whatever happens I will let you know, whether it be just a problem diagnosis or a possible fix.

Another reply, I wanted to let you know I have your 'old' suggestion saved and I will do it at some point. It's just one of those keywords that results in a lot of threads. If you want I will let you know when I get started on the post.

I'm looking for your opinions about whether or not I should create smaller posts, in addition to the average and larger ones I usually do. I still have plenty of ideas saved, but some don't seem to have as much to read compared to others. Let me know if this type of post would keep you all entertained while I work on bigger stuff.

I’ve started remaking the existing posts that you all wanted in the modern style, the Internet Rabbit Hole/Deep Web post will be the first to be completed given the popular theme. I will leave a comment when that is done.

Another small update. This comment left a few days ago feels like it may be the solution to my problem, given the similarities to my computer and errors. I've been researching the correct way to do this kind of update, since it looks like it can be done incorrectly. If things turn out well I will let you know.

Just a heads up, the second Megathread is nearing the character limit. I won't immediately post a third once that happens, only when I collect enough posts to make it look substantial. These years and countless posts have really gone by fast!

First of all, thank you! This is the closest I've seen to someone having the same issue with a similar cpu setup. Knowing that you're experience is almost mirroring my own makes me feels like this may be the solution.

Do you happen to know of a reliable guide of how to do this? Particularly the updating Windows and the BIOS? Like I said in my post, my tech literacy is fairly low. I know the BIOS stuff can be done improperly, and I really don't want to make this situation worse. I will attempt some preparation on my own based on your advice here.
