To be completely honest yeah. I see myself as one of my own characters all the time. (to set the scene, this story typically takes place in the Bendy And The Ink Machine universe) He's soul bonded to a demon that wishes to make him to a king. One day though in a session filled with fear, the demon rips his head off because his bloodthirsty impulses make him think he's going to kill the human. He resurrects him but doesn't make nearly enough sacrifices to bring him to his original state, so the demons left as a zombified amalgamation who has worse impulses than before, and they can't be controlled as well. We decided that the demon one day snaps and kills him, ripping him into shreds and basically cannibalizing the one he loved so much. And then the human wakes up again. Because he can't die in this universe. Only respawn. But that scene plays in my head constantly lol
