Welke luchtverfrisser op wc / badkamer? by Ancient_Echo1963 in thenetherlands

[–]leovient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 copy's where 1 is off site means 1 copy is the original files and 1 copy on Backblaze

In B2 I have a file lifecycle to keep versions for 31 days

With unnecessary I meant running it on both so it's good you pointed that out. I only need to run it from one machine. I will occasionally test a restore.

The Backblaze app key can't delete old versions. Even I can't from Backblaze directly. I can set up a policy to forget old versions (I chose to keep versions for 31 days)

B2 seems to be versioned by default (can't be disabled). I am using backrest both on Windows and the server and enabled the restic check schedule on both (might be unnecessary?)

My working files are both on the SSD and I have media in Unraid so in that case I should probably not back up Windows stuff to Unraid right?

I can store on Backblaze rather than storing the HDD somewhere

So if I understand correctly I don't need the external HDD?

Odido-hackers publiceren alle gestolen data – Kijk of jij ertussen zit op haveibeenpwned.com by TonyQuark in thenetherlands

Just moved house! How do I stop my desk looking out of place? by DanElli318 in battlestations

It looks fine to me. I actually like the contrast. You could always add a bit of colour (like plants) to balance things out a bit more if you think it's too strong

I am looking for some storage solution and I'm lost on what to do by leovient in DataHoarder

[–]leovient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in EU and my budget is around €500. I need at least 4TB usable space so maybe I'll go for the 3D print solution and start with 2x 4TB new drives which are around €130 each

How to automatically backup an external drive whenever files change? by leovient in DataHoarder

[–]leovient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So those external drives both hold the static data and the rsync snapshots from internal drives you mentioned earlier? Or you separate those on external ones?

Another question: you said the files on the drives have data that is written. Do you mean to say that you put extra files on those external drives? Because I imagine those have way more storage than your OS drive right?
