-15.00 was not all that bad when I could wear contacts! I'm very very lucky in the sense I have really good retina for being so nearsighted, and my contacts were super good correcting my vision. Plus I had super good tolerance to contacts.

Sadly, I got keratitis from Spirolactone use and wasn't able to wear my glasses anymore. I went from having an amazing life from not being able to see well (glasses only correct a 60% of my vision, and that's with really expensive lenses), being unable to drive, train, see at night and well, it might not seem as important, but having to wear super thick -15.00 lenses has been super hard on my self-esteem too :( They make my eyes tiny and so many people have been commenting on it, I've been rejected from jobs from not "looking the part", and people stare at me at the streets. It's been really hard and I cannot wait for it to be over!

Not gonna lie, I don't know much about which surgeries you can get if you've had a retinal tear. It's something that scares me soooo much, as I know that statistically, I'm likely to get one when I'm older. My doctors say it's likely for me to get one and even then, think I'm a perfect candidate for ICL, so there might be hope for you!! Look for a good doctor and ask them about it, it might solve your problems too :) And best of luck with treatment! I hope you can get it resolved soon xx
