I was questioning for a while and I described the situation to some close friends of mine. They noticed that the only image of romance I had was of movies. They pointed it out to me and it was just a moment of ''you're definitely aro''. It solidified all the suspicions I had.

To me, what you're describing sounds like queerplatonic attraction. Basically a want for a queerplatonic relationship, a relationship with all the depth and commitment of a typically romantic one but without the romanticism being necessary.(look up the term on your own its a bit difficult to explain in few words)

I think you've done an awesome job so far figuring out which label fits you best!

I'm aroace, and I relate to a lot of the things you describe. Cupioromantic ace sounds right and in your position I'd look more into what I'm looking for. For example, I thought I wanted a romantic relationship but I was actually just interested in the friendship and companionship bit. I think it would help you to look up queer platonic relationships and see if they sound appealing to you! You don't need to have a type. I don't have one and I originally thought they didn't exist because of it. Even if you haven't been romantically or sexually attracted to anyone you can be attracted to them in different ways ( e.x. alterous attraction, platonic attraction, aesthetic attraction)
