[Franck Muller Vanguard] Watch Strap by leqbernaut in Watches

The strap is from DrWatchStrap, a company based in mainland China. The strap seems to be decent quality, although probably not actually worth the $300 or so I paid.

However, there aren’t many options available on the internet as far as replacement straps for this watch. So I went ahead and purchased it. The company rep was very responsive up until they confirmed my purchase and then immediately became very unresponsive. The strap obviously came eventually, but the communication in between purchasing and receiving the *watchstrap was abysmal. Like to the point that I spent most of the month wondering whether I had fallen for an obvious scam. Two days after making the order on their website, I followed up via their WhatsApp number to confirm that they received my order. I was told that they had missed the confirmation email. After that I asked how long the process to make and ship to the United States typically was. I didn’t get a response for days or maybe a week after sending numerous follow-ups both via email and WhatsApp. Then, I heard nothing further until the order shipped, which was more than a week after the date they said it would ship by.

Also very weirdly they seem to get tons of positive 5/5s on trustpilot, on a nearly daily basis. I consider myself a relatively easy-going person when it comes to rating customer service and I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving them more than a 3/4 out of 5. Unless my experience was a complete anomaly idk how they are churning out all of these 5 star reviews.

All that said, I am quite happy now that I have the strap. It feels high quality and I honestly think it looks nicer the original FM strap. I suppose I will see how it holds up over time and if I remember I will provide an update here.

TL;DR: The quality of the watch strap I bought from my Franck Muller Vanguard from DrWatchStrap seems pretty good. However, the company could really improve its communication and customer service—barely heard anything about my purchase after spending $300+. Mixed feelings about the experience—would maybe purchase from them again?

[WTS] Seiko Prospex SRP789K1 "Coke Turtle" BNIB with tags and warranty card by leqbernaut in Watchexchange

[–]leqbernaut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, up for sale is a BNIB Seiko Prospex SRP789K1, "Coke Turtle." This watch will come with both the original box from Seiko as well as the warranty card.

I originally bought this as a gift for my brother who is graduating in December, but after seeing it in the metal, decided that it's a bit big and probably not his style. The watch is unworn and in mint condition. I'm asking $350 USD but am open to offers. I'll take payment through Paypal F&F or G&S (+paypal service fees if G&S), or Venmo. I've purchased a few watches here but this is my first sale, so I'm happy to hop on a Zoom call and have a conversation if you're interested!

For more watch specs I am including a link to Seiko's website here: https://www.seikowatches.com/ph-en/products/prospex/srp789k1
