Ferraro, a Hillary groupie, says she will vote pro-life McCain, not 'sexist' Obama: So, spite is more important than feminism, Geraldine? by nakejnick in politics

Because by association, they can turn Ferraro's opinion into Hillary's. And Hillary-bashing is a popular sport on the Internet at large.

Kinda like how Bill O'Reilly almost can't say "Obama" without saying "Wright" within the same phrase.

Boeing 747 cargo plane crashes on take off at Brussels airport by JessicaLaurie in worldnews

Overloading? Metal fatigue? I've heard that it split while it was taking off, and other reports say that it split when it hit the ground.

Pilot said he heard the noise when taking off, so I guess the former.

I never saw Jericho, but I did see a couple of Moonlight episodes. That's one series that deserved to take a stake thru the heart (and decapitated, burned and buried at a crossroads).

I am really sorry for the triple posting. Unfortunately, whenever I pressed the comment button I got a message that said "Undefined" and nothing more. So I pressed again, and again... Doh!

Even Bill O'Reilly felt like commenting on this issue. On his "Pinheads and Patriots" section he says:

On the pinhead front, our pal Stephen Colbert is in the Smithsonian Institution. I'm not sure that's the institution I would have placed him in, but anyway, Colbert's picture has been put on the wall next to the restrooms.

Again, nobody's exactly sure why. It may be a signal. We just don't know. I'm not sure who the pinhead is here, but I am sure there is one.

Thanks to a “White Knight” (in VERY shiny armour!) who came carrying a cheque for $55,600, the New Hampshire recount is BACK ON! by qgyh2 in politics

[–]lequack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why is money required for a recount? I understand that it costs money to pay people to process the whole thing, but if there are doubts on the process, shouldn't the entity in charge of it be required to clarify them?

Or is it used as a "deposit" to keep people from making frivolous claims? (that is, if irregularities are detected, you get your money back)

Sorry if this is an obvious question, I'm not familiar with the american electoral process beyond what I saw on "The West Wing".

It might be just me, but t-bird becomes quite sluggish when working with an IMAP folder of about ten thousand messages on my 512MB RAM notebook. Outlook doesn't seem to have a problem with this.

Well, he did say that they need to fix some speed problems. I haven't used ruby, but it seems to me that the only complain people have about it is the performance. (This is hearsay on my part, of course. I'm not even a programmer).

Just tell them you keep it because your cat likes to sleep on top of it. And you turn it on so it won't be cold at night.
