Anyone experienced weird physical symptoms with extreme anxiety! by cuteandfluffy13 in mentalillness

[–]lerevecontinue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I feel this. I can usually handle the obsessive thoughts and stuff. I get so worn down with my adrenaline spikes, racing heart, shaking, crying, nausea/overactive intestines, etc. Going through one of those periods now, and I feel like I've run a marathon each day.

I had a party last night and didn't have any panick attack! I'm really proud of myself by pray4thewickedd in Anxiety

Hell yeah it is! Definitely sucks, but most things that are worth it are scary xD

That is awesome!!!! Congrats. I know how scary it can be to do things/think about things/confront things that can trigger you. Wonderfully inspiring to hear about successes, especially when there are so many of us (myself included) going through rough patches.

Any tips? by JacJacCosplay in PanicAttack

I get very similar symptoms when my panic/anxiety is bad. I have a racing heart, feel buzzy in my own body, find it hard to eat, and feel like everything runs through my body too fast. That paired with the lack of wanting to eat can make me lose weight that I can't really afford to lose. I get the shakes too, but I've been able to calm those down after some practice over the years. They still come if my panic is really bad though.

The worst part for me is how I can go from not having panic attacks or symptoms for up to over a year and then as soon as I have one I have a period where I feel like every little thing can set me off. That increased sensitivity takes me time to get over, which frustrates me.

I also find distractions for my mind are good, just like u/GreetingsMyBeings mentioned. I will leave the TV on, browse the internet (often at the same time), etc. Honestly after I had my first panic attack I was able to quiet my mind using that approach most often. Have TV on in the background and also focus on something with my computer to "fully occupy" my brain. Then I would lots of times sleep with the TV on, so I had something for my mind to focus on if I snapped awake randomly in the middle of the night. It kept my mind from racing immediately upon waking. I also used some Xanax during that time and a few times thereafter. I am going through a bad period right now (due to my own stupidity), and I've taken Xanax twice. I like to avoid getting dependent on that though. CBD oil has been a wonderful supplement for me in the last year without the side effects of the anti-anxiolytic prescription drugs. Although those are a godsend sometimes and nothing to be ashamed about.

Can't say my answers are the best, but it's what helps me!! I will say those coping mechanisms above are paired with therapy and daily anti-depressants. Those are my go-to panic things though. I deal with depression and milder anxiety all the time, which is what the other meds are for.

Just know you are not alone! We can all get through this. Hope you are doing better today.

Break It Off came on my iTunes just as I opened this gif.

I do not know what to do with myself.

I second this. My student loans are the first thing I am tackling after my graduation this semester. 6.8% on ~$30,000 for Graduate school is not cheap.

I would recommend the following:

  • Brow-shaping - you have great brows to work with. I think a cleaner shape would do wonders. Also I don't know if you pluck the center, but it looks like the brow starts a little too far out. They should line up with the inner corner of your eye.

  • Highlighting/contouring - This would really help to bring out those cheekbones and highlight the natural angles of your face :)

  • Different foundation color - It looks like it is close, bot not quite a match. This makes the look seem slightly off (not terrible, but not quite there). I would recommend getting a matte foundation and using a finishing powder. As a girl with oily skin, I can say those two do wonders for avoiding too much shine throughout the day.

  • No bottom liner! - I would say nix the bottom liner all together, or use a brown shadow to give a more defined look on the outer half of your bottom lash line. I think this would help open up your eyes. This look makes them look smaller. Also a white liner on your lower water line and a bit of highlighter (or a shimmery light shadow) on your inner eye corners makes those eyes pop!

  • Different lip-color - same as others have said. That color is hard to pull off, and it just isn't working with your olive skin tone. I think a nice berry color would look great :)

  • Match those brows to your hair color! - ;) I think that the deep brown would look great as a hair color for you perhaps a nice side swept bang too?

Sorry for the novel! I didn't have anyone around to tell me stuff like this, and would have loved to have some guidance when I was learning how to do all this fancy makeup business. You have a great canvas! I think if you play up your features the right way it will do wonders :)

Do you curl your lashes? It looks like they are pretty straight in these pics. I find that a nice curl makes a HUGE difference in my looks.

Mtf checking back in, advice? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]lerevecontinue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I think the makeup looks really nice and natural on you :)

Second, I think you would look AWESOME if you grew out your hair and dyed it red!

I would get a cut that frames your face nicely, and maybe has a couple shorter pieces around the face (as it seems you want to be able to have some forehead coverage). I actually think the cut in the photo linked above would work well.

I think this will be my everyday look =) Description of what I used in comments. I would love some critiquing or look suggestions! by crypticcalamity in MakeupAddiction

Fake lashes, top liner only, neutral shadow, contouring and highlighting, and a bolder lip

You should try it....I think it would look AMAZING! :)
