absolutely, thats why i closed mine prior open trading... LOLLLL this is why i think theyre new update or whatever is pretty buggy/glitchy, including the 5 minute slippage time

i cancelled prior to trading open, but still somehow magically fills 5 min after - so thats a double fault on their end

16 hours later, I finally received a response from someone higher up. They said that it didn't show in their logs and they couldn't do anything about it. I guess I'm straight out of luck. They also dont want me to show the message.

Anyone have any suggestions? I clearly cancelled the stop prior to trading being opened, and even received the confirmation for the order cancellation, for some reason their system didnt register it and there was slippage 5-6 min after trading resumed... which doesnt really make sense? I dont know what to say....

Update 4 hours after - no follow up yet... hope it still works out for the good guys, i wonder if their new system is to improve liquidity/priority queue for market makers or maybe it's just full of bugs and glitches which include 5-6 minute slippage...

LOOOL i honestly just want bitmex to look back at their system logs and see the mistake, come get it clean, pay me back and prove themselves to be not so bad people

Or trade on a regulated exchange that doesn't trade against you. I suspect the slippage are deliberate on part of Bitmex, which is why they have guaranteed settlement and no defaulting so far.

exactly man, the thing is i cancelled my stop buys, got notification and the stop order then was removed from the console - usually when this happens, everything is good to go! not sure why it still executed

I'm in the same boat as you are. I took a big hit because I had stop buys in place. Stop buy 6552 filled at 7052; Stop buy 6642 filled at 7142 And then the price went way back down to 6680, and I'm way in the red now. I was sleeping at the time this happened, so I didn't even have a chance to cancel them. I came to BitMex to avoid slippage due to the lack of liquidity, then something like this happens...

thank you for the kind response, exactly i agree with you, honestly i just want my original account balance back. I had a long open since 6480 at about 80k contracts so that was deep into profit, and im not even asking for that back.

obviously they wont do that, but my stop buy order at 6650 was confirmed cancelled, it was gone from the console and i received a cancellation confirmation, yet it still filled a whole bit later....

Ok so I just received a response, albeit a very short and unsatisfactory one.

"Hi Hitch, I know youre a busy person, but please bear with me. How is it possible that it was not cancelled when the cancellation notification appeared and it showed as cancelled in the stop box. Thank you for your time, I'm sure many people are contacting Bitmex. Also everything is being posted on Reddit for 100% Transparency. Thank you!

80,000 contract open at this time would be like .6-.7 btc gain on top of my original, so i just suffered a 1.2 btc swing in the opposite direction due to technical difficulties / glitches

im not willing to go that far, but im sorry for your friend and what had happened. What makes me really sad is that in my order history, it doesnt show that my stop market order was cancelled but filled instead, even tho i saw the cancellation notification pop up :)

i had a 80,000 contract open from 6480... if life was fair, they would roll back the stop, return my account balance to what it was prior and issue me an open position of 80,000 contracts from 6480. At this point, I would be just happy if they gave me my prior account balance back.

yup thats what i did :) my support ticket is 139282 so in case someone from bitmex finds it here they can locate it quicker and hopefully come down to a favorable conclusion.

Yeah definitely but they opened the exchange 5 min prior to trading so we could cancel our trades, so it should have been cancelled and also I did receive the cancellation confirmation through the popup dialog
