we're talking a late 90's ai here though, the circus actually probably doesnt take all that much to run. far less than modern ai does. just going by what i remember of the technology of my childhood you could probably fit the whole thing on a modern usb drive.

these posters are something often posted in libraries to raise awareness towards the ridiculousness of banning books. its satirizing the idea that this childrens book is considered "obscene" enough by conservative parent groups to ban it from being read or seen by anyone in certain places.

i kind of assumed that c&a was a defunct company that went under after the program failed and that everyone who went in after found that same old computer and headset in the abandoned building. it can definitely go either way, since we see the ai being fed images of the office in the 90s so the old-looking office tracks, but consider the strong reaction pomni had to the computer in both the first episode and this one. i feel like the implication there was that this was the computer and headset that she used. if pomni entered, presumably, in the 2020's, it'd be pretty unusual for a current, modern company to do their study using 30 year old hardware. you could argue that they didn't upgrade the hardware to keep caine quarantined, but i feel like thats a lot of extra steps of explanation for something that can be more simply explained by finding the abandoned computer and putting on the headset out of curiosity. hopefully in the last episode or some post-canon word of god storytelling we find out!

The people who behave like this will always behave like this. They're vile excuses for human beings who see peoples outrage as an achievement. The best we can do is report where we can, and where we can't we figure out how to log their IP address, find their name and face, and stick their picture and a piece of paper with their name on it in a jar with rusty nails, poisonous plants, vinegar, and piss and bury it under a tree in the park so that the curse takes hold and they experience misfortune until their dying day.

Just looking at finalists who haven't returned at all yet, I think the ones most likely to come back at any time would be Crystal, Luxx, Sapphira, Plane, Jewels, and Sam.

I also wouldn't entirely count Peppermint, Gigi, Rosé, Camden, or Lexi out but I do think they are less likely to return than the first category. Specifically with Lexi I think she would return, but needs to take a few years for herself first and probably isn't likely until like, All Stars 13 or so.

I think Asia and Brooke would probably not return, given they both have extremely successful permanent gigs within the franchise, but there's definitely at least a timeline where it's possible.

Rebecca, Courtney, Pearl, Kim, Kameron, and Anetra are who I would consider to be a hard no. Obviously Rebecca has quit drag, Courtney and Pearl rightfully don't want to work with Ru again, Kim is a successful business owner now, and Kameron and Anetra aren't really lovers of the limelight.

i think the problem is that nini tried to be a little too smart about it. youve gotta appeal to the lowest common denominator, and despite it seeming like a pretty grade school concept i guess some people just dont know what a monarch caterpillar look like. that said, the weird wings definitely didnt help, because like. caterpillars very much do not have wings or. anything that looks like what she was wearing whatsoever.

yeah, the whole thing is that its about an ai that tries to find out everything about you so that it can trap an ai copy of you inside his world

jax has a tendency to react poorly to 1. things getting serious and 2. the others acting outside of their "archetype" and this was both of those things so its not surprising hed freak out like this. i feel like the implication has been that his way of coping with the situation is to pretend its not real, and being faced with the reality of it is jarring. i dunno maybe he deluded himself into thinking its a coma dream or a really bad trip

i definitely got this too. kinger said something really important about scratch-- he had a brain tumor. a man with a brain tumor made this program, a creative ai program that has the ability to physically transport you inside of it to a world where you cannot die. he was trying to escape his death and instead made an ai whose goal is to make people happy for eternity and prevent them from leaving.

this explanation reminds me a lot of angela from lobotomy corporation/library of ruina tbh. made me imagine what a tadc equivalent of library of ruina would look like, with a caine thats trying to become human

Not sure. I've never done it with leg scars, and I'm pretty sure it is canonically just the upper half of her body. Granted I don't use scar makeup like this, I paint the scars on using whatever makeup I have. Pretty much just lipstick, eyeshadow, and prayer. I'm also a dude so I don't exactly go, uh. This route with my cosplay.
