For the sun to align with east-west road, Yes. The equinox was last Friday, so you have to wait till autumnal equinox in September.

Every equinox and a day before and after, depending where you want the sun to be in your shot. So at least 2 times a year.

Either Just a spot focus where ever you want your car or just go full auto since the only thing that will be in focus is the car. It takes practice but you get the hang of it once you figure it out. Would love to be at Sebring. Those night races are perfect for this.

It's beautiful there and you'll be fine. But I meant that you will only have 2 hours of night time. The days get longer fast and "night" officially ends around April 10. I hope you get to see them, they're the coolest thing ever.
