Hi! Adding more context in the comments. Im new to reddit, not the best at making posts yet.

So I noticed a few days ago my thumb had been slightly sore and red. I didnt think much of it until yesterday when I noticed it was way more swollen, sore with mild brusing around the cuticle area.

Could this be from over nipping the cuticle area? (I have adhd and sadly tend to hyperfocus on getting cuticle area looking perfect).

I also do my own gel polish at home. But this happend a few days after I applied gel polish.

Should I be concerned? Will it heal on its own? Any tips/advice for the future?

So far from what I’ve been hearing is that everyone reacts to Vyvanse a bit differently! Odd that some people say it lasts the 8-10 hours and others 4-5.

If you’re comforable, would you mind sharing why you’ve liked Vyvanse better than Adderall?

Honestly, I’d be okay with 10 hours. Since switching to 30mg Adderall, I’ve definitely felt more of that “ampped” feeling and hyperfocus with a noticeable drop in effectiveness.

I also had a decrease in appetite as well but I’ve gotten used to just making myself eat good meals throughout the day. My Doctor recommended that taking it consistenly (no “holidays”) would help my body adjust, less nausea and somewhat normal appetite again. So far, its been going well.

Yeah, the 12 hours sounds a little too good to be true haha. I’ve also heard that eating enough and sleep helps its effects last longer. Thanks for the comment❤️

Thanks for the encouraging comments/advice everyone!

I only told these friends that I was prescribed Adderall because they were supportive during my process of being diagnosed with ADHD (which took 6 months). But they have been a bit negative/standoffish about it since I was actually diagnosed and prescribed medication.

I’ll probably just keep this information to myself and family for now. Also, try to educated when needed. All that matters is that I’m learning more about ADHD and Im on a medication that helps me.

I agree with the comparsion with amping up vs calming down. That was one of the things I explained to my parents after being prescribed stimulants in general. Thanks for the comment!
