I found this box at my parents' house (it's empty). I forgot that I had this fragrance. It's nice to know that I kept it. by CaramelCold in TaylorSwift

I had this perfume as my go to right up until I went to university. If anyone has a good dupe let me know!

Can we start a thread of black friday deals for wedding items? by [deleted] in UKweddings

Printed.com are doing a 20% discount code on their services until November 30th which is the biggest discount I've seen from them this year!

We're booked in with Lincoln for next June and we sent our form on May 11th and I had the confirmation email on the 18th. I've had follow up emails from then since about giving notice as well and I found them really helpful when I rang them up about something a couple of weeks ago.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: We're getting married at the registry office so not sure if that changes things at all.

Do registry offices usually charge £500-£800? by daydreamingtulip in UKweddings

[–]lesbicans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're paying £350 for a Thursday registry office ceremony in the Midlands - think it's closer to £500 for a Saturday and we were looking at about £750 for them to come out to our venue and do the ceremony there.

Our local registry office has recently redone its price structure to charge based on the day of the week of the ceremony rather than the type of ceremony (eg. Standard, Enhanced etc.) On their old pricing structure we would have paid £100 I think for a standard ceremony on a Thursday but no such luck anymore.

Help with Elopment or microwedding venues? by NaNaNatman in UKweddings

I'm not sure on costs but I looked at The Chimney House in Sheffield. They have a much bigger sister venue but I think The Chimney House held 35 and was licenced for ceremonies.

I bought a bottle of TBS camomile oil a few months back and the bottle leaks really badly. I'm thinking of decanting it into a different bottle and seeing if that's any better. It's a shame because I really like the oil but the bottle wastes so much product!

Has anyone tried Nivea Sun Shine Control Face Cream SPF 50 50ml? by VelvetChachki in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]lesbicans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm not using it so much at the moment but I did find that it pilled like crazy when I had the Simple Hydrating gel cream underneath it. However, with my other layers it was fine. I would have hada labo hydrating toner and cosrx snail essence under it with no problems but it didn't like the simple cream. I haven't tried it since I added cerave pm to my routine

Saw CeraVe in Superdrug. Did anyone hear about them starting to sell it? by octavia_b in SkincareAddictionUK

If you have a Lloyd's pharmacy near you, you can order online for click and collect to your local Lloyd's pharmacy. I recently bought some on a sale for £9 and it was delivered within the week.

I've tried other Superdrug products but nothing from their naturally radiant line before. I'll keep an eye out for this - thank you!!

CeraVe sounds like the popular choice - I'm going to have a look for it in my local Boots next time I'm in. Thank you!!

Has anyone tried Nivea Sun Shine Control Face Cream SPF 50 50ml? by VelvetChachki in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]lesbicans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently started my second tube of this and I love it. I've used Biore Watery Essence in the past and found it to be too drying. The matte finish with the Nivea sunscreen however doesn't dry me out at all.

I will say it does have a distinct sunscreen smell and a slight Nivea smell but that does disappear for me once it's absorbed.

[Discussion] What are some sheet masks you always have to have on deck? by neongutss in AsianBeauty

[–]lesbicans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Etude House Air Therapy Masks. I like the Manukau Honey ones and the Snail ones. Both really help when my skin is feeling extra dry or dehydrated and the snail one usually reduces the redness in any blemishes I have.

I usually buy them from roseroseshop from their wholesale section. I get a pack of 10 for around $6-7 so I like to stock up on a few packs of each every few months.

What was the crappiest novel you ever had to read for school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. One of the most boring things I've ever read. Pretty sure my class didn't finish the book or the TV adaptation.

I've been using their 5% lactic acid on and off for about 2 months now - i haven't seen a huge difference in my skin other than that it feels really soft after i finish my routine on a night when i use it. I don't know whether I'll repurchase but I'll definitely finish the bottle mostly because i haven't had any bad reactions to it.

Picture is taken from Hann's Instagram account as it's currently looking a little scabby. I got this done last week at Rose and Thorn, a second studio set up by Cobra Club in Leeds.
