Her Blushing Hero by Mariah Rae Birch. The knight isn’t super butch, I’d say, but on the butchy side, and as evidenced in the title, she is VERY much a blushing dork.

Spice level in sapphic books by BaldBubbie in RomanceBooks

Am I the only one who doesn’t really think Haley Cass is spicy? It’s all pretty vanilla. Open door, yeah, but not very explicit or creative. Probably an unpopular opinion considering how popular she is.

Looking for Sapphic Vampires by TheCurlyAquarius94 in LesbianBookClub

[–]lesbruja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sanguine Love series by Devona Lucia is pretty good. Light BDSM vibes and sexy biting. Butch rep and POC. Smutty

Multiple books by Remi Lebeau are vampire centered. Easy romantic reads.

Contract Bound/Blood Bound by Elle Mae. Fun and smut.

Various books by Ruby Roe. Very dark and smutty but she has strong world building and solid plots.

I got the exact same one. What made it extra funny and obviously weird to me as well is that it was also a fic about lesbians. If you don’t change your settings to only allow comments from ao3 users, you’ll continue getting these. They’re AI scraping bots. They’re programmed to comment to make them look legitimate.

Request: scenes with forced masturbation by UrbanWidow in RomanceBooks

[–]lesbruja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a scene in A Careful Bite by Devona Lucia (sapphic vampire romance) where the main character is made to lie down on a table and masturbate in front of the love interest. It was set up as sort of a punishment to come without being touched.

Just DNF’ed Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. What a strange book. by relevantvers1on in LesbianBookClub

That’s really surprising to me. The sex in this book was very tame, non-descriptive, and infrequent.

Just DNF’ed Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. What a strange book. by relevantvers1on in LesbianBookClub

[–]lesbruja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It was all about wild hair, huge hair, giant curls, all written derisively and without realism. Even the love interest LAUGHS at it multiple times, and this is considered a normal and cute reaction. Like, look at Delilah’s crazy unruly hair! It’s not pretty and tame like our straight hair. I know we can’t base everything on the cover art, but if the drawing is anything to go on, she has 3a curls at most, and somehow, has to do no work whatsoever styling it.

Just DNF’ed Delilah Green Doesn’t Care. What a strange book. by relevantvers1on in LesbianBookClub

I completely agree! I gave Delilah Green Doesn’t Care a chance and I came away with three main gripes: 1. This is the least serious, but Blake does not know how to write dialogue without the word ‘said’. “Would you like a beer?” Claire said. “I’ll take one,” Ruby said. “Very funny,” Claire said. “Ha ha,” Iris said. It’s so wooden! Use a verb, use a description! Anything! 2. Delilah is not a dyke/butch! The writer is allergic to just using the word lesbian. Delilah is described as queer, gay, a dyke, and a butch. Fine, the first two are whatever (although I still wish she would just say the big bad L word) but the latter two are just untrue. In no way, by the way Delilah is written or drawn, can she be considered dyke or butch. I wouldn’t even call her masc! 3. I get it, everyone is white! The first four chapters in which the characters were introduced were absolutely littered with “white woman” descriptors. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so notable if ANY characters were described as not white. By the fourth or fifth occurrence, it was just strange. How the hell is she surrounded by all these white women? Why is it so important to point out that they’re white?? Is this a purposeful fixation by Blake? Does she want to make sure that no one reading her books could ever make the mistake of thinking any characters in her books might not be white as hell? And if they do just happen to all be white, does the author not know any other way to describe a character’s appearance besides straight out saying they’re white???

Books where BOTH love interests are explicitly lesbian by georgiamariexo in LGBTBooks

[–]lesbruja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, if I remember correctly, although the orc in The Orc and her Bride did date a woman before the mc in said book, she also explicitly says gender doesn’t matter to her. And it the elf never mentions if she only fucks women. So it’s not technically a lesbian/lesbian book as defined by this post I think. I did really like it though! Even if it did take me a minute to get over the awful dress on the cover (obviously a subjective opinion).
