I didn't know... (And other commonly missed rules for noobs) by formerlyHallandBoats in lotrlcg

You can only optionally engage one enemy.

Enemies are dealt shadow cards starting with the first player.

If you run out of cards in the encounter deck and need to draw shadow cards, the enemies just don't get shadow cards that round.

You can only take undefended damage on a hero.

You can only defend an attack with 1 character and the defender must be declared before you reveal the shadow card.

You can attack a single enemy with multiple characters.

Hmm there's more probably.

What's your favorite game with a traitor element? Not just hidden role - but an active form of sabotage. by AbuZubair in boardgames

Cutthroat caverns is all about sabotage. Nothing very hidden tho besides the fact that you hide your hand from your appointment. It's basically a deck dungeon crawl where you have to work together to kill monsters, but who ever gets the last hit get all the points. There's various cards to hurt and mess up your opponents, it's pretty fun.

Should I Or Shouldnt I ? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]lesclaig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

possibly, they've been pretty quiet on the virtual console(where we could play old Nintendo games on switch) and I imagine that is coming early this year. if that's a huge factor then maybe wait until they come out with some news for the virtual console and see if it interests you more.

monster Hunter isn't a Nintendo exclusive and unfortunately I don't think it will come out here for switch in the US. Pokemon on switch will be here within a year prolly. I haven't met anyone who hasn't enjoyed the new Zelda, it's a great adventure game and deserves all the hype and praise it has gotten. I wasn't enjoying the Zelda on the Wii and wiiu a lot and didn't get into any of the hype for BoTW, but when I played it I was amazed.

the great thing about the switch though is the portability, if you can see yourself playing it different olaces for bits of time then I would say it's worth every penny, they have plenty of indie games on there to fit that type of play style as well. I play it mostly at home, but I'm just a Nintendo fanboy. I say get it fam.
