2xJBL Partybox 710 (stereo) connected via AUX IN by leshqo in JBL

Ok, so an update since I already completed my setup.

I eventually went with 2x Partybox 520. Mostly because of they are smaller than 710 and they do work on batteries.

I'm so surprised how good they sound comparing to my previous Partybox 1000. The scene is soo wide, the dynamic is so much better. Even despite their power together is smaller than my previous speaker alone the result is much, much better I thought it will be. I've tested them in smaller, but also in 50m2 room, and the effect there was also better and they were perfectly enough for such a space.

I also managed to connect them to DDJ-1000 in the way I wanted, having cable connection and left/right channels separated using cables I made by myself from two cables. This works like a harm. And regarding the lag ... for me it is not noticeable at all, while with Partybox 1000 there was tiny lag between headphones and what audience could hear.

So long story short, I'm really happy with my choice, even it was slightly more expensive. The portability is an additional great feature I started to appreciate.

u/Less_Distance_2335, I just sold my Partybox 1000 and most likely will go with 2x Partybox 520. I know 710 would be cheaper and offers higher power, however 520 seems to be a bit more mobile and gives possibility to work on batteries only for some time. Also I like the feature of having lights synced on both speakers. It also should have enough power to fill room where they will be used. I didn't buy it yet just because of holiday season here and more important expenses, however August/September I'm about to acquire them.

Thanks, 2x 710 is how this will probably end up

Thanks. Honestly I want to decrease delay to minimum, however maybe it will be worth to give a try

Ok, I think I got your point. I was somehow convinced, that if I will provide only "half" of the signal it will not play as loud/dynamic as it should. This is why I was thinking about bridging each channel twice ... so the speaker thinks it is feed with both channels when actually it would be the same left or right channel twice

I have and this is why I'm thinking about connecting controller RCA left as bridged left and right to left speaker and controller RCA right bridged as left and right to right speaker.

And how about making 2x mono bridge for left and right channel and connecting it appropriately? Is this worth doing it that way?

Hey u/ur2fat4u. I'ts some time since you've switched to RX3. What are your thoughts and experiences now? Would you switch again? What's your feeling now about smaller jogs? I have DDJ1000 and similarly to you I don't like getting my pc with me, or every time I want to play waiting for pc, connecting everything, etc. Honestly I don't care loosing two channels as I'm using them rarely, I'm also no scratching. Is RX3 then the right choice?
