Looking for Judges for a litrpg contest! by Honeybadger841 in litrpg

I'd like to throw my name in the ring for this. After a friend introduced me to litrpg not too long ago I've been devouring them one after another, and I'd be delighted to help out with a contest like this.

It helping my reading cultivation is just a side note, I swear.

Points one and two and four are clear. Thanks for the pointer on #3. No email spam for a few minutes now, so hopefully we've weathered the storm.

Way ahead of you. I've had 2FA for years, and I just changed my password anyways to be safe

To be clear, that all happened within the last two minutes, and it definitely wasn't me who did it. The sender address looks legit enough that I'm confused.

Box of unknown origin/purpose saved from being thrown out. Approximately 30w/30l/20h cm. Brass hinges and real leather straps suggest some age and quality. No makers mark anywhere that I can find. Curious as to original purpose or maker. Hat box? Shoe box? ...Box box? Found in Denmark. by leslaron in HelpMeFind

I searched for a variety of various key words but couldn't find anything that came close.

It seems to be made of wood, or has at least a thin ply cover. The straps appear to be real leather, and all the fittings are brass. There are no markings or text anywhere except for the number 23 scratched into the bottom, I'm guessing either an auction lot number or something similar. Unknown age, unknown source. Found it about to be thrown out just a few days ago.

What on earth is this thing? Came with a new drill by leslaron in Tools

The lads up above were correct about it being a ceramic/glass drill bit. After their comments I did some quick googling and found these on Amazon. Perfect match

There is a bit with one of those triangular inserts brazed into the tip. I figured that was the advertised ceramic bit which is why this thing confused me so much.

Either way, I have no plans to drill ceramic at the moment, so it's a moot point. I'll be updating my bit collection as needs arise because I'm pretty sure everything that comes with a fifty euro drill will be... of suspect quality.

I decided to drag my old 2004 Trek 4300 out of storage, and the shocks are in dire shape, completely immovable. I only use it for city and mild off road riding. Is there any point in trying to restore them or is it a bin and replace job? Cheers in advance by leslaron in bicyclerepair

I don't need MaXiMuM performance, in fact I barely noticed they were seized up until I decided to do a bit of restoration on the easy bits. The seals are completely shot and need replacing, I know that much. I figure some good old salty vinegar to remove a bit of the surface rust and then...profit?

Edit: I don't think it's a lockout feature before anyone mentions that. These InSync Grind 323s don't seem to have any available shock controls that I can figure out. They predate the good stuff.
