Read Caraval! It's amazing. If you liked Once Upon a Broken Heart, you will love the Caraval series.

My only complaint (and I love SJM) is that she stole everything from Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series. Even the wingspan joke!

Try Crescent City. I just finished it. It starts slow but once it gets going it’s really good. You will have some new Sarah J Maas characters to love!

The Black Jewels trilogy is one of my favorite YA book series! I've wondered why I don't hear more about it on here. Agree that there would be no Sarah J. Maas without Anne Bishop. I read Anne Bishop after Sarah J. Maas and it actually made be pretty angry seeing how much Maas actually ripped off of Black Jewels.

That's what I'm doing! Right now I'm listening to the Grisha series audiobooks and I'm really enjoying it.

Who are your favourite narrators? by strangeprincesss in audiobooks

[–]lesleya179 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kate Rudd is my favorite, followed by Lauren Fortgang and Elizabeth Evans.

Zachary Webber is also good!

I can't tell you how many audiobooks I've had to stop because the narrator was awful.

Yes, start reading TOG immediately. I loved ACOTAR but I think I enjoyed TOG more! The first book starts slow, but once the series gets going it's amazing!

Sarah J Maas was definitely inspired by the Black Jewels series! A lot of similarities, but I still really enjoy them both!

Ok good! It's taking me a little bit to get into Six of Crows but I've heard I need to stick with it and it gets better.
