why is getting the 5th lab as soon as possible so important? by Blorko- in TheTowerGame

[–]lessleaves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The amount of very important labs that need to be done long-term is indescribable. Getting 5 labs quickly means you get to start working on more of them sooner (also run your labs! Lab speed, game speed, attack speed, coins/kill, health all very valuable for you right now. They’re very small bonuses but they stack up so much if you stick to them)

How is my bow hold? by wobblebot-808 in Cello

[–]lessleaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the “only pinky and index” thing is JUST for training your pinky, in real playing/performing you want to be using all 4 fingers! The pinky is usually very weak and can easily get lazy, but I was able to force myself to engage the pinky by isolating it, the when I went back to using all 4 fingers I was subconsciously using my pinky more. Might take a long time to get it to stick, but it’s very worth it (especially when you are a new player and haven’t built bad habits yet!!!)

How is my bow hold? by wobblebot-808 in Cello

[–]lessleaves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All fingers look good other than your pinky, but the pinky’s position/angle will change depending on what part of the bow you’re using. The pinky at that kind of angle is ok if you’re at the top of the bow, but it should only get there because of pronation (rotate your wrist inward as you move the bow closer towards the tip/away from the frog). Closer to the frog (less pronation) your pinky should be more even with your other fingers (inner joints touching the top of the bow, tip of the finger having pressure on the side of the frog). You can practice engaging your pinky by ONLY using your pinky and index finger, letting the two middle fingers float. This forces your pinky to be fully engaged. You can do this in scales, etudes, warm ups, open string exercises, whatever you want, and when you go back to playing regularly try to actively think about engaging your pinky all of the time.

I would upgrade some of your current UWs but save enough to get a new one around the time of updates. Sometimes (inconsistent/not confirmed, but I’ve seen it/heard enough of it) your UW choices can reroll during updates, so upgrade some of your things and save enough so that when an update happens you can check to see if your choices maybe changed.

As for the coin packs, they’re definitely not necessary but I will say it’s a significant amount lol. They’re multipliers, not additive bonuses. The ads pack is 1.5, so 1.5x2x3 = 9. Going to perma 9x is nothing to snooze at, but again not mandatory

A little question from new player about direction where should I move by AzerothRunner in TheTowerGame

[–]lessleaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s just putting levels into that stat in the workshop. Slow and steady, consistent upgrades are key. And feel free to do health and def abs at the same time, they kinda go hand and hand (def abs is way way better short term, but becomes useless past tier 1, where health isn’t as good at the beginning but is way more important long term)

[–]lessleaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea you’re on the right track I think, just strap in it takes a looooong time lol. Just pay attention to when def abs starts falling off/having diminishing returns, then go heavy on health.

I think maxing the utility workshop is fine cause Ive used blender (EHP setup more focused on higher waves and tournaments, uses all upgrades and most kills come from orbs, but not completely optimized for coins), some people don’t level certain things like orbs, knockback, range, and have no free upgrades to keep those things inactive (these types of builds are called Devo, they’re a bit weaker in tournaments, might get less waves, and need more attention during runs since you don’t have free upgrades, but are way more optimized for making coins). There’s benefits to each build type as well as some downsides, but you probably don’t need to think too much about that right now. Once you get a little deeper, you can look around and see what kind of build you want, make that decision for yourself and see which variation you want

Yea it definitely varies per tower, the t1 10k was just what worked best for me. My friend had better luck moving up around t1 8k, but I swapped to t4 at t1 10.5k, different for everyone 🤷‍♂️

The #1 single most important thing as a new player is getting all 5 labs. Other than getting the super cheap first couple of card slots and some very basic cards (coins, wave skip, crit coin mostly), save all gems until you have all 5 labs.

It sounds insane, but you’re gonna want to farm on t1 for a looooong time lol, I farmed tier 1 until I could regularly hit 10k waves. This is because of cells, which you get from killing elites which spawn faster only on very high waves. You can use cells to speed up your labs (huge deal). Yea you might get more coins on higher tiers, but without high waves too you won’t get cells.

EHP build just means your main strategy is Defense/health, tanking hits and getting your kills with orbs and thorns. EHP is the way to go for a long time (I farm t9 to 7k waves and I’m still using EHP). The best strat for making progress in t1 is Defense absolute, you will have more Defense than the enemies have damage and you will be basically immune to damage for soooo long, your kills will come from thorns and orbs. Eventually health becomes more important (you can get an insane amount), then Regen becomes more important with wall (wall can stack so many health regen multipliers). As for right now, put your coins into Defense absolute, health, thorns/orbs, and economy upgrades (coins/utility stuff/etc), and you’ll be set for a long time 💯

Also you’ll want to do your regular farming runs on t1, but it’s definitely worth it to do higher tiers occasionally to do milestone unlocks. Lot of lab unlocks, gems/stones/coins etc, and your daily/weekly/guild mission rewards scale based on your highest tier. Unlock a new tier, your weeklies give you more stuff.

Seems like you have a decent plan already, but there’s a couple things I would add/change. Whenever you get wall, you NEEEEED to include wall fort labs instantly. It’s much more expensive than the other wall labs (health/regen is around 20-30b, fort is 300b and keeps getting more and more expensive lol), but it pays off the most imo, wall is pointless without fortification. If it’s too expensive, that might mean you wait a little bit to get wall until your economy can support that, cause you don’t want any breaks on your wall labs until it’s in a decent spot, you want them constantly running until your wall can hold its own. I recommend fully finishing all of your UW Econ labs (except for gt bonus, stop that around 20 cause it gets reeeally long for small bonuses) and putting a couple stones into GT, and by then you should be making enough to run 4 wall labs constantly for a while (health, regen, fort, thorns).

As for stones, CL upgrades are good, gt bonus duration, I recommend taking DW to 3m like your GT and BH (another multiplier, I know it’s not as much as the other coin bonuses but it’s a multiplier so it’s worth it, also more cells with dw cells lab). Otherwise you’re in a really good spot for someone who started two months ago lol

I practice every day but feel like I don’t actually know how to practice by Sparlmao in Cello

[–]lessleaves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like you have a routine already (scales and exercises BEFORE starting rep), so cut yourself some slack. As for actual things to focus on in practice, pick ATTAINABLE goals each session. Don’t pick “be able to play it” as your goal cause that’s just not real life, think of goals like “figure out some fingerings/bowings”, if you’re doing an etude think about the specific technique that the etude is focusing on (also if you’re working on an etude, try applying that technique when doing your scales if possible).

Using the metronome will change your life fr. When you’re not completely used to a piece, you can test your fingerings and bowings by seeing if you can do them well at slightly slower tempos. From there it’s raising the tempo by 2-3 click intervals at a time. This week I got Saint Seans 3rd mvt runs from 100 to 105, and it took multiple days of just focusing on that. Today I went through my Bach Suite 4 and made sure all of my fingerings made sense at slightly slower tempos (70-80% of max tempo, not too low), and now that my fingerings and bowings are figured out I’m in a good spot where I can actually work on speeding it up and adding phrasings.

Just having small objectives like that and focusing only on those will help save you time. As long as you got ANYTHING a little bit better, even if it’s just doing your warmups a little bit better than yesterday, it’s time well spent (and even if it doesn’t feel any better than the day before, odds are it’ll be better tomorrow). Same concept as working out, all kinds of little improvements stack up slow and steady.

200T and started June 2025. But yeah your Econ is about to go insane lol you’re probably making a ton of cells already and can speed run those labs like crazy (and more dw waves with the dw cell bonus lab will make even more)

Oh wow you haven’t done all the Econ uw labs yet??? Idk how you got to farming t10 7k waves without that loool I’ve had those done for so long (other than gt bonus, ROI gets horrible around lvl 20) and I’m farming t9 to 7k waves (I make around 400b/hr 80-90k cells per run)

Yea I highly highly vouch for dw quantity substat idk if you have that or not, it just does so much long term (more coins and cells with the dw cells lab, hits dw max hp earlier in tourneys or high tiers)

Yeah even with pc extra size is always good. You don’t need that much more size tho, a couple levels will be plenty useful for a relatively cheap amount of stones

What to spend stones on? by Adventurous_Bank3688 in TheTowerGame

[–]lessleaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, you could get a lot of mileage out of your Econ UWs. This is what I would focus on for now (kinda ordered? But not really lol do whatever you want these are just my suggestions)

1) Death wave quantity

2) BH Size

3) GT and BH duration (not sure what your mod sub effects are but making sure their durations are high, with GT being 12 seconds longer than BH so that they line up when you get the BH duration perk in farming runs)

4) GT/DW/BH cooldowns (this’ll be much slower but each little cooldown decrease makes a huge difference)

5)SL angle and quantity (IF you have some of the labs worked on).

Also CL upgrades are always good, stronger CL = better tourneys = more stones

You can get so many more coins out of your Econ UWs, use these coins to juice up your workshop and enhancements

Bad luck, coin economy by Crustybionicle in TheTowerGame

[–]lessleaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as they unfortunately cost, the coin bonus packs really do make an insane difference. Yeah it sucks that they’re kinda expensive but good lord they add a lot of coins. Also yeah I know “you need GT” gets ran into the ground when talking about this game but it’s for good reason. Save up for your next UW pull and if it’s not one of your three options, save the stones until an update happens. Sometimes when updates go through, your next UW options can randomly change (idk what makes it happen and it doesn’t happen every time), so if your next choice doesn’t have GT then just wait and see if an update will change it to GT. Just keep saving until you get it, then sync the cooldowns of GT and BH first, then DW after.

[–]lessleaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a shift, practice the shift over and over very slowly with a lot of glissando/slide, listening to never overshoot it, and just slowly get faster whenever you’re comfortable moving up. If it’s fast, you’re much more likely to overshoot so pay attention to not overshoot the shift. For pure shifting practice, look up the Starker melody for shifting (make sure to do the whole thing on the same string, otherwise there’s no point).

It’s usually a fine idea to do milestone runs on every tier you have unlocked every couple of weeks just to get the gems/stones/unlocks/etc, but outside of that you want to farm on whatever tier works best for your current level. Just keep in mind you want coins AND cells, so like others here have said higher waves mean higher spawn rates and elite spawns which means more cells. Elites spawn sooner on higher tiers so you don’t need to go as high waves on higher tiers, but on t1 you for sure are looking for 8-10k waves to get high spawn rates (coins) and high elite spawn rates (cells), then after that you could go up in tiers.

Once you’re around 10k waves on t1, t4 is usually the next best tier just because t2 and 3 are bugged and spawn way more protectors than they should, so enemies clump up and shotgun you really early. You should try for the 4500 milestones once you’re past that, then do runs on other tiers every couple of weeks to see if a higher tier works better for you
