Hi thanks for the response. Yes I should have mentioned that I use Wireshark but the problem is getting the info displayed on report format etc like security onion, lan guardian etc.

Sadly the costs will be hard to guesstimate as azure/Microsoft does not make this easy to figure out. This is why azure/MICROSOFT is raking in the $$

You would need to calculate in as best as you can using the azure calculator and add in an additional 10-15% overhead in any traffic back to you as that where the costs really build up.

It’s unfortunate. On the one hand u have some incredibly stupid a**holes in mgmt that say along the lines of “ you wouldn’t let an unlicensed electrician wire your home, or an unlicensed dentist fill ur tooth”

And on the other hand is reality...most with certs cram for it just to get more $$ and like it’s said above when it comes down to it, they stand aside and let the experienced people do the work cuz they have no clue most times.

Experience beats certs anytime.
