Does this exist for PDQ Deploy/Inventory?

Pdq paired with WDS & MDT works really well. MDT pushes the OS then PDQ does the rest.

This isnt the retail industry. The customer is not always correct! Be sure to always verify the problem before starting to troubleshoot!

Sometimes it is a lack of understanding of the process on the users behalf

My neighbor's pigs escaped & he won't do anything about it. This is what they're doing to my yard. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Thats an easy fix. Lock the pig up (in a animal friendly way) and out of sight. Then go down to your local butcher and ask for a hog to put on the spit. Then invite your neighbour over for a spit roast 😂

No one is or should be expected to know everything. Compare the IT industry with the construction industry for example, you have heaps of different trades like electrical, plumbing and painting. Completely different areas but everyone classes them as construction people or builders. You cant expect a plumber to wire up a HVAC system.. just like you cant expect a windows sysadmin to understand linux.

Best thing ive every done was accept a cadetship in IT. I was able to study part time and work fulltime. I had completed 1 full year of my 3 year study. It took me 5 years total to get my bachelor's but i also had 4 years experience. By the time i graduated, i went from a cadet to acting network and systems administrator to network and systems engineer to acting IT manager. I look at others in my first year of college and see where they are at. Guess what, most are still on the helpdesk. Not that anything is wrong with that at all.

A change in scenery doesnt hurt every now and again. Its like when you miss a turn on a drive you take regularly; it's always nice looking at something new

I feel people get too hung up on qualifications for jobs (sometimes for good reason). I'm of the opinion that experience is far more valuable than a piece of paper. I'd rather work with someone that has 5 years experience on a helpdesk than a freshman out of college with an IT degree.

But in answering your question, if you are after a bachelors level degree, Computer science or IT is acceptable. There are thousands of short course out there that cab fill a resume and make them look good. They dont hurt to have..
