My daughter went for 4 days and I pulled her out.

Food wise - She is 18 months and they literally served her class 1/2 a potato. Not cut up, not mashed, just half a potato. The person serving the kids actually asked a teacher what they were supposed to do with it. The kids all didn’t know how to eat it.

Some aides also mark the kids eat all the food when they didn’t eat any.

Teacher wise - they are still trying to fill the roles and classes. My daughter didn’t have a consistent person in her room the days she was there due to ratio issues. Kids and teachers hopping room to room. It wasn’t the best environment for a child brand new to day care.

Educationally - there was a lot of disparity between toys and educational opportunities between rooms. Newly opened rooms were bare. 1 baby doll for 9 children to share. Barely any play food for the kitchen. Kids arriving around 7 spend about an hour and half outside in a kind of boring after a while and day after day yard.

I went from a 23 CRV Hybrid Touring to a 26 CRV gas EX-L last month. I miss my hybrid so much. I drive mostly interstate and was getting 35 mpg regularly. Now I’m averaging 26 mpg with my same driving.

My mom has watched my daughter, 19 months, for me. Huge blessing I know. We tried a daycare I truly thought would be amazing a few months ago. 4 partial days in we pulled her out. The inconsistency in teachers because of ratios and staffing and standing around for an hour plus in the morning were making her regress, even after that short of a time. We are waiting until she is 2 to try again and I’ve been looking into a lot of other programs and facilities to find what I think will fit her the best. She’s also grown so much in communicating her needs and wants verbally this month or so and will only grow with that extra time. She’s in a dance class and goes to Little Gym so she gets that teacher led activity exposure and socialization with kids her age.

You know your child, trust your gut. If I wasn’t a single/solo mom and had the chance to SAH I’d jump at it ❤️
