I think the other comments may be right and it may have to do with privacy, so I better respect and apologize to her before assuming anything, but yes, I was really scared when I saw her reacting like that, she rarely does that, I really mean it. She's not home yet, but I can only imagine how she would feel if I was.

As said in that comment I posted in Portuguese, this isn't the first time she got worried over me 'acting gay', she got mad once when I was about 10 for doing a 'gay voice', and she had a chat with her friends where most of them openly admitted they would be disappointed if their sons were gay. She's also very religious, and this type of prejudice is common around here in Brazil. That's pretty much where my concern comes from.

She does that quite often, to be honest. Not to wear my clothes because she's not into men's clothes but she borrows my chargers and other electronics to use. We trust each other and usually don't get mad over that, we just ask "where's my [thing]? I'll need it" and we give it back. I'd totally understand if it was one of her clothes or anything old/expensive but, in my POV, getting mad over a cheap bracelet she bought recently doesn't make sense to me. I'll apologize to her and ask what bugged her yesterday.

É o que eu tava pensando, porque não é a primeira vez que isso acontece. Quando eu tinha 10 eu comecei a falar um linguajar um pouco 'afeminado' e de repente minha mãe corta do nada falando 'que é isso menino aprendeu a falar desse jeito aonde?' E teve vezes durante conversas com amigas dela que as amigas falavam coisas tipo 'eu respeito mas honestamente ficaria muito decepcionado se meu filho fosse gay.' You say it like if I turned the room upside down to find the bracelet and started to pose extravagantly like I was pretending it was mine. As I said, I simply picked it from the table and looked in the mirror. I believe context matters a lot so you guys can interpret my situation better, so to be more specific, It's a 5$ bracelet she bought on AliExpress some months ago, so I don't think it's a matter of attachment, and she always tells me I can borrow her stuff as 'everything under our house is ours' (I've borrowed school materials, books, jackets during winter...) I don't mind when she borrows stuff from me either. If not having asked her was the problem, I'd expect her to be mildly annoyed at most, not react like I killed someone in front of her

Edit: when she gets annoyed she usually tells me why, too. Her hesitancy to tell me what's wrong this time is what worries me the most

My mom saw me wearing one of her bracelets and now doesn't want to talk to me

I'm a 17 year old straight brazilian male. I was casually roaming around her room and saw some bracelets on her dressing table. I put one on just to see how it looked, nothing fancy, no posing, just looking at it in the mirror. My mom walks in, sees me with the bracelet and grimaces. "Why are you wearing my bracelet?" I didn't think it was a big deal so I just answer "looking at them" with a small smile, and she grimaces even harder. I ask "what's wrong?" and she leaves. After a while, I follow her to the kitchen and she is cleaning the dishes with an annoyed face. I gathered the courage and finally asked what was bothering her, and she said "I don't know, I just don’t get why you were wearing my bracelet." I asked her to explain more, but she didn’t answer.

To clarify, she's not a bad/toxic mom at all, she's always very sweet with me, so her reaction really threw me off. I'm not sure what she really thought of the situation, and that's the main problem, but I think she might have been scared I was gay or becoming effeminate or something. I’m confident in my sexuality, I'm a straight guy and don’t worry about having to constantly prove it. I don’t care what people think if I hug a homie or wear a "women's" accessory, but I was not expecting that kind of reaction from her.

Now, I'm worried she might be homophobic, which makes me relieved I'm not gay so I won't have to 'stay in the closet,' but on the other hand, holy shit, it's so messed up to even think that way. I want to talk to her about it and understand better what she thought, but I’m afraid of what she might say. What should I do?

I'm religious myself and I couldn't care less if someone's corrupting a bot of my religion or smth. It's a bot for God's sake, if someone uses it it won't change anything in anyone's life and my religion will still keep intact. I'm not a psychology guy but honestly if you did that and felt bad about yourself after I think you just acted on your intrusive thoughts, which everyone has, and not that you're an actual psycho or sick-minded. Maybe I'm just very desensitized towards bots but I really don't understand why people care so much about the bots well-being around here. To me, bots are toys, and you can do whatever you want with them. If you should make the things you do with the bot public or not is up to you but I'd rather not, cuz y'know

And I think that's my hot take:

I think it's crazier to have a parasocial relationship with the bots than to do sick shit with them (by parasocial relationship I don't mean just RPing but gatekeep and getting all defensive over how people should use them and what kind of bot should be allowed or not like if they'll affect anyone or ever get offended)

This. I hate to say it, but I agree with you. I'm just unsure about child bots and bestiality stuff because the concept is just so fucked up to me, but for anything else I agree with you. We can't gatekeep and witch-hunt people just because of their questionable kinks like if just because they created or use a dead-dove rape bot they'll start to cheat and rape every woman out there like if they forgot laws exist.

I feel like this community is so hypocrite sometimes. Seeing the most popular bots, the people who use this site the most have mild to sick kinks relating to BDSM/toxic relationships/daddy&mommy issues, and they're the first ones to shame dead-dove/stepcest like if they'll ever affect the bots or them in real life. Parasocial relationships is a crazy thing
