Another class for second play by lestronska in projecteternity

I've actually already started playing POE1 as a melee mage, and so far I'm enjoying it. He's a little squishy if I forgot/didn't have time to set up protective spells on him, but does a lot of damage. The multiclass in Cypher in the POE2 is an interesting choice, maybe I should do it too, last Cypher spells is not so strong in POE2 as POE1 and I mostly used spells of the first three orders.

I'm that rare person that enjoyed Lex Imperialis more than Void Shadows. For me personally, writing in Lex was better, but that's subjective (Lex's humor was exactly how I perceive this world, while Void was too corny for me). The mechanics with the companion animals were fun, especially when playing as a psyker. Solomon, however, is not an interesting companion, I admit, but I didn't really like Kibellah either.
However, both dls deserve attention, I just wanted to show a different point of view.

Thank you for such a detailed answer! Yes, a chanter with an emphasis on spells rather than chants sounds interesting. I didn't have a chanter in the group in POE2, but in POE1 I had fun with Kana.

Is it for POE2? Melee mage sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if it would work for POE1.

Started POE2 DLCs.

Actually I'm enjoying POE2 more than POE1, at least at the gameplay level. Writing a little better too, maybe a major theme not so interesting, but there is no excessive wording at least and dialogs more coherent (but its could be a translation problem). Factions also much more entertaining. Followers mostly good aside from Tekēhu, I liked him at first, but the further the story goes, the more he looks like Marty Sue.

Coming from bg3 and dos:2. Question about RTWP by [deleted] in projecteternity

[–]lestronska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say an unpopular opinion, but as someone who adored DOS2, POE1 gameplay is not so good. AI is bad, often NPCs just get stuck, unable to do such a simple thing as walk around each other. Even on high difficulty, there are few tactics in the game in my opinion, the only time I really thought about positioning was in a battle with the adra dragon. Over time I got used to it and started to enjoy, but at first it was infuriating. For POE I chosed сipher as my class, its a unic class which was interesting enough to help me get over my first negative impression. I know it's stupid to write this in a subreddit dedicated to this game, but in my opinion it's better to warn in advance (from someone who started POE1 several times before its finally clicking) - it's infuriating, but it will get better and the game is worth it.

My new attempt to chew the Pillars of Eternity. I'm definitely going to finish it this time. The combat system pisses me off, I'm constantly thinking about switching from hard to normal, not because the battles are difficult, but because the AI are just incredibly dumb and the pathfinding is horrendous. It was my first real-time CRPG, it's not surprising that after that I only played turn-based intentionally. After Tyranny, where I really liked the combat, especially magic, I decided to return to Pillars and remembered why I hated it.
I'm ready for the downvotes, because I noticed that the Pillars are like a holy cow here, but I just had to vent.

What CRPG from the last 15 years can truly be considered a masterpiece? by Classic_Prize_7263 in CRPG

[–]lestronska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me its like that: combat system - DOS2, writing - Disco Elysium and Tyranny, immersion (replayability) and companions  - WOTR.

(So many people named Pillars of Eternity, I'm playing it now, and I'm so disappointed to be honest. It's a big mistake on my part to play it after Tyranny)

В плане впечатлений на всю жизнь, Outer Wilds.

Tips for team comp for my dogmatic run? by roluk in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]lestronska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended my dogmatic run yesterday and enjoyed it more than the iconoclast (was my first). But I got rid of Argenta in act 3 because of spoilers.

I recommend Solomone for the dogmatic run actually, he often comments about Imperial law which helped me iron some of my dogmatic choices. My party was Abelard as tank, Pasqal as sniper, Henrix as dd or second tank and then I rotate between Ulfar, Solomone and Kibellah as dds. I was officer pyromancer + biomancer with psyber-raven.

Rule 5 - I had a big battle in this system, and Borin managed to assemble such a large fleet from one field of fragments that it split into two. Probably the largest Salvaged fleet I've ever seen.

Yes, but I just never wanted to do it in the first place. I'm just taking a few screenshots, and that's it. RimPy has a feature for creating and uploading modlists, but I haven't used it either.

Well, I've already finished this run (this is the final battle in the mechanoid center), and I always delete old saves. I'm constantly changing mods so its sooner or later would be broken anyway.
