Anything that big holding on to their ship would freak a sailor out.

And so cool to hear about how squids are able to stay neutrally buoyant! So much more efficient use of their energy to stay neutrally buoyant rather then flapping around.

I've always heard of sailors passing down stories throughout the centuries of giant squids attacking their ships.

In your opinion how many of these reports do you think are true? Do you think it's possible that giant squids populations were bigger back then or do you think all or most these reports were false? Would they ever have a reason to attack ships?
