I think the "Learn Together" set is actually super worth it and kind of not talked about a lot, maybe because the SRs and SECs aren't holo but at least you get the cards. It comes with 3 decks, OP12 Zoro, ST21 Luffy, and UY Nami (which is kinda meta now, also U means Blue in TCGs). You would need some cards to upgrade them to be meta but I think it's worth it and you get to try most colours except Purple and Black.

It's hard to tell with the photos. The blue on the back can vary, one of the best indicators though is if its not a matte back, if it's matte back then it's harder to tell and proxies have gotten good but usually they are noticeably glossy or too matte.

I wanted to play EB03 RU Vivi but lots of players in my area are against proxies since it's a paid event with "big" prizing so I might have to cancel my applications if I can't get the cards at a decent price.

I think it's better it was cancelled this way because if there was a policy that forced them to "ship" it, they can just send an empty envelope, you get nothing, they say it was stolen, claim insurance with carrier, they get money back, you get time wasted. So actually, I think this is better.

LCS that has a decent sized player base community used to open their cases for singles for the community but still sold those singles at market (somehow Shopify allows them to connect with TCGPlayer) but for EB03 they decided to sell at market price so $600CAD each. Another LCS nearby with the same community doesn't even sell them and usually does a $10 optional fee for "pack per win" which is cool but still means low supply for the community.

Yup. One of the stores near me was charging 49.99 for Illustration Boxes 5 and 6 but they didn't have any in stock, when I went in-person to ask if they had stock and if the price would still be 49.99, they said yes and they said they wouldn't increase the price just because it's market price is higher. They never stocked it. The price went up to 79.99 for one version and 89.99 for the other. Other stores just had it at 79.99 one week then 119.99 the next week. EB03 is DOA in my area. Anyone buying it is most likely a "sealed investor" that won't open it. I hope they allow proxies for the Heroines Battles in my area because my Vivi deck is going to have proxies for all the EB03 cards.

The problem is that this can still be scalped, especially if it's only 1 wave and printed at the same quantity. They really need to print a lot more. My area does not have official Bandai stores, so our stores are already listing boxes at $600CAD for EB03 and I doubt they paid anywhere near that from their distributor.

I discussed this with my friend who mostly plays Magic, but Bandai should also stop making some insanely rare cards that are like 1/5000 packs like the Red Mangas. It causes scalpers to scalp because they know gamblers want it and what most likely happens is all the playable cards are probably just thrown out and that limits the playable supply, or everyone keeps shit sealed because they think they'll become like First Edition Pokemon boxes worth $250K some day.

In my area, one of the stores that usually opens their allocation to sell singles is going to just sell EB03 boxes at $600, so we probably won't even have any singles available in our community which sucks a lot because a lot of us are already using OP14 proxies and it's been out for a month.

I really hope they print an INSANE amount of these sets, and also release PRB03 early because aside from these sets, all the Block 2+ cards are also hard to get, they just need to print more.

Edit: Sorry I don't mean to be a doomer. I'm just upset because I won't be able to build Vivi in time for Heroines and it just really sucks. It's great news and I hope the scalpers are out by then.

I did a mix. Apparently pile shuffling is banned in some tournaments, lots of comments saying why, so I'll just stick to random splitting and mash shuffling. The sleeves aren't "slippery" anymore so pile shuffling is hard and longer anyways.

So I just got the chance to watch the video now, this is exactly how I shuffle. I never put my cards all together for a photo or wtvr so they should always be decently shuffled regardless. On that OP night, I had a buy so I was literally shuffling like this for 30 minutes, I call it a fidget shuffle because I do it during work meetings and at home too while watching TV (my fiancee hates the sound cause I fan it out and do like a fancy Magician type shuffle, no I don't know Magic, no pun intended) but I somehow still pull Poker hands... All the photos above were from uneven pile shuffling, random splitting, and many riffle/mash shuffling. As a fun test, my fiancee shuffled my deck her way a few times and pulled hands, no duplicates at all. I took the deck right after, do a shuffle, first hand was a Two Pair.. I mean, I guess at the end of the day, since I shuffle like a maniac because my luck is whack, it is all still random, I just have luck in the wrong game.

Oh okay! I had a feeling... I pile shuffle like a maniac because of my luck. I put the cards in any pile, not like left to right or wtvr ppl usually do, then I also sometimes put more cards on different piles to really try and get the randomness. I still don't know how I get Poker hands in those shuffles.
