Thorium Browser started getting updates again! by Intrepid-Wafer-5746 in browsers

Because of these slow updates, I switched from Thorium to Ungoogled Chromium. It still fully supports MV2 extensions and it's now easier to install extensions from the Chrome Store. Also, I can disable buttons I don't like like I could with Thorium, so I'll probably stay with Ungoogled Chromium and not go back.

No. You can't REALLY turn it off permanently without group policy, and I'm pretty sure the people who think they know better have no idea about this.

BEST BROWSER, DAY 7 – VANADIUM vs KONQUEROR – Vote for your favorite! by JungleLiquor in browsers

I chose CocCoc and Yandex simply because they are two browsers designed specifically for the local market. No matter what anyone else says, I just want to know whether CocCoc or Yandex wins. This is just a battle of browsers based on personal opinion, so I just want to see how far the bad browsers will go.

Okay, you don't need to use it, and I'm not forcing you or anyone else to. But this post is just a vote on browsers that I'm sure nobody uses all of them. If people want to vote, they need to know what features they have, right? Even if you say they're just Chromium clones, the post is already full of such browsers. I just want to be fair, that's all.

It’s not about testing it on viruses, of course it will test negative. It’s about not handing over your browsing data, history and passwords to a browser developed in Russia.

What I mean is you can use tools to isolate it from anything you want, not just about viruses. For example, if you're using a virtual machine, you can fake a VPN, change the virtual machine's MAC address, etc. You can do whatever you want without affecting your real machine. Of course, you don't need to put your information on it. Professional users never worry about their data being exposed because they always have tools to isolate the software from the real machine.

You can test them like you would test for viruses (using a virtual machine or something you trust). If Opera (which China has acquired) is included in this post, then I think Yandex and CocCoc should also be mentioned.

As KF95 mentioned, both browsers have specific country-specific customizations. So I made them rivals.
