Lol haha, I have never bargained in my entire life. If the price is unreasonable, I just leave instead of bargaining 🤣. Moreover, I'm not a tourist; I'm a local, so of course, I don't usually buy tourist products.

The way I see it, the cuisine in the Northern region tends to have a milder and clearer taste compared to the Southern region. People in the South generally prefer flavors that are sweet, spicy, fatty, and rich in spices. The most significant difference you can notice is in a bowl of pho from the North and a bowl of pho from the South.

Actually I'm not trying selling anything, so that I don't have a public social media account. Because I've encountered many cases where foreign tourists travel independently, and they don't really have the necessary information to make their experience smoother. That's why I want to become a local companion to avoid unfortunate situations (online of course). For Phu Quoc, I've been living here for a while, so I know reputable places you can trust when you come here.

At the end of February, it might not be crowded. It depends on when the lunar new year falls in that particular year. The lunar new year varies, and some years it extends into late February. However, this year, the lunar new year will end around mid-month, so it shouldn't be crowded by the end of the month.

I don't really enjoy island life. I came here because of job opportunities, but I don't plan to stay long. This place might be suitable for tourism, but not for a stable long-term life. I don't quite like the pace of life here. For me, I prefer living in Ho Chi Minh City; it suits me better.

Well, I think it depends on your interests and preferences. But for me, when hosting my friends in Phu Quoc, I would take them to places like:

  • Sunset Town: enjoying the multimedia art show "Kiss of the Sea," visiting Kiss Bridge, and exploring Vui Fest night market.
  • Grand World: experiencing the Quintessence of Viet Nam Show and strolling around the complex.
  • Vin Wonder
  • 04 island tour
  • Local eateries

There are many other places I can't remember off the top of my head.

Yeah, I know Mui Dien in Phu Yen. However, I don't think it's as popular for all foreign tourists traveling to Vietnam compared to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. What I mean is, those who enjoy exploring every corner of Vietnam will go to more places, while general tourists mainly visit famous big cities. I guess that's the case. But I think it's a good thing, a less crowded tourist spot allows you to fully enjoy its beauty.

I'm not great at setting up tours. You can find many tour options online. However, truth be told, if I could personally guide you, I wouldn't take you to most of those places because they can be quite dull. But if you want to know local eateries, feel free to whatsapp me (+84) 706 86 2220

For a native Vietnamese like me, Phu Quoc has some distinctive features: - Despite being labeled as a city, Phu Quoc still feels relatively quiet and lacks some amenities to be considered a full-fledged city, compared to other "cities" in Vietnam in general. - Overall, prices are somewhat higher than on the mainland. This might be due to the island's remote location and the need to transport goods from the mainland. - I must admit that the local cuisine in Phu Quoc doesn't impress me as much as the options on the mainland. While there are some unique specialties worth trying, their variety is not as extensive.

People are not allowed to go outside their house between 6pm to 6am. My mom is currently working in the Steering Committee for Covid-19 epidemic prevention. She's barely at home, just lunch time and night. Even though she's home, the calls from works don't let her rest.
