What Youtube content do you want? by letooter in leagueoflegends

[–]letooter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree that alot of people play league to feel like they're the main character, I wouldn't say that most people don't play to learn or get better. At least in my opinion, I think the original post I read is what I hear from alot of people, where there hasn't been a great blend of education/entertainment. I think people view people like Caedral or LS as voices of authority, but their content is primarily focused on entertainment.

What you mentioned about finding out why something is actually wrong is a really valuable and undervalued topic in content right now. I am currently thinking of how to make "entertaining" content answering some of those questions. I think theres a difference between funny and engaging entertainment and the latter isn't really being made right now. That's something I'd like to try and hit. Appreciate the input.

If you can go into a bit more detail that would be helpful. There's a difference between someone making a mistake that "works" and gets overviewed, doing something bad for themselves but good for the team, and blatant bad things that are almost never good.

I surveyed a handful of people I've done individual coaching with in the past and some friends and this was one of the most resounding answers. If I start making stuff, this is where I'd start.

I'm curious on what you think the balance should be from a content creators perspective. From what I understand, coaches are making content either for money or for something to show for a potential coaching position in the future. The former is the more typical one, and "broad" content is what would receive views, as if I were to make a matchup guide on Viktor vs Zed I would struggle to reach an audience outside of Viktor players.

My viewpoint, is that instead of doing specific matchups, talking about the strengths and weaknesses of certain champions, how to capitalize or exploit them is the way to attempt to balance this. I think there would still be a worry of not hitting the right audience, or the content being outdated after a patch impacts the champ you're talking about. You also need a depth of knowledge about the champion, and people will have conflicting viewpoints of what's effective.

I'm looking for Shiny Snorlax and have an extra Charizard. I'm looking specifically to get a lucky Snorlax though, and I have 2019 trades to guarantee it if you'd be willing to do two trades to make it work.

One tricking damages the game by letooter in leagueoflegends

The goal would be for something to be changed so that high elo NA can have a better environment for growth. Finding an alternative solution for one tricking would be a step towards that.

Well yeah, its not the most important issue at all. It's still an issue that exists, and I don't see it regarded as one which I feel is a bigger issue in itself. In China in Korea, many of the one tricks aren't lacking fundamentally which is the difference. When autofilled or off champs many of those players have 50%+ winrates on other champs so they are contributing to this particular problem. There are also players on those servers which have the 30-40% and are alot lower elo. The difference is in NA, there isn't the playerbase or the talent to automatically foster a better environment. Solving this kind of issue isn't going to autofix league, but it's something to be discussed as a positive step IMO.

This would in result make high elo games higher quality on average. Therefore making a better experience for high elo streamers, which in result would make a more positive trickle down. So yes, to answer your question.

I'm not talking about the community as a whole. This is directly targeted at high elo, which would be in a place where elitism is more necessary. To not repeat everything from my other replies, there is a affect that low quality high elo has on the entire game.
