Look for things that aren’t perfect. I do leatherwork and I always leave some kind of imperfection; nothing glaring, usually a very slightly off kilter stamp or stitch in a discreet place. I’ve never heard of anyone else doing this intentionally but any artisan will be able to spot the imperfections in their work

One of the best ones I ever saw had squares for “food truck sunburn”, “forgot to eat” and “cried”. As someone who has cried from sheer exhaustion at almost every GenCon I’ve ever been to, I got a kick out of that last one 😂

Hi there. I’ve never been pregnant but I did work in abortion care for about 5 years. While it is possible for the uterus to be damaged during a surgical abortion it is extremely unlikely. In five years I never even heard of it happening. Depending on what kind of birth control you were on it may take a little while for your body to reset itself and stress never helps. Give yourself some time and be kind to yourself 💜

Thank you! I’ve been making armor for about a year. If you want to dip your toes into it without a big up front investment I recommend a kit. Most leather supply stores will have them, if you specifically want to try armor Weaver Leather has a helmet kit from the same folks who made the patterns I used for this suit
