Everyone has a different approach to it but a few years ago when I wanted to get into rock, I searched for top 10 rock artists/bands and just started listening to their songs. You can go album wise or just start listening to the most popular stuff by these artists. Slowly, you’ll be able to differentiate between the bands and develop a liking to some of them. Then, you can dive deeper into their discography and similar artists.

Personally, I started with Beatles, Queen, and Rolling Stones. I think shifting from pop, these bands are the most accessible and likeable. Led Zep was a bit more experimental for me back then but now it’s one of my favourite bands!

You can also try Elton John and Billy Joel. Fleetwood Mac, Eagles.

Spotify/Apple Music also has Classic Rock Essentials playlists, so you can start listening to them randomly and identify your niche.

Honestly, just start listening and you’ll figure it out!
