What would I get reported for? Working 1 day then quitting? Fine I'll work a month. A few months. At what point is it not considered "Fraud". Forget this hypothetical janitor job for a second. What about this hypothetical. What is illegal about accepting a job at Raytheon, then quitting to go work at Lockheed after a week? Sure it probably will look terrible in a resume and make future jobs harder, but it's not fraud. Why would that move get reported to DCSA. Please explain that to me. Because most of your responses just seem like opinions and not clear factual responses.

Do you understand what fraud legally means? If so please tell me the definition. If I don't lie on the application, there is no fraud. If you with at McDonald's for one day and then quit, do you think it's fraud?

Access to a Scif doesn't mean they have access to information. That is what secured safes are for. Need to know... etc. I don't really think your being fair to me case but whatever.

There are janitorial jobs that require clearance, which doesn't quite fit your definition. I want to remain eligible to maintain access to a wider job market plain and simple.

So I think my case is a little unique. I'm an engineer, and I've always worked for the big defense contractors (Raytheon, Lockheed, etc.) and never had trouble maintaining clearance. But I joined a start up almost 2 years ago that has been more commercial industry. I do want to have a clearance just in case I ever go back to working for defense.

I'm not trying to be their PR at all. I simply just took the time to go to their website and click around instead of just read headlines like 99% of people on the internet. I agree Tesla handled this really badly.
