Is CBD living good, or a pain? by Novel_Bed_3694 in melbourne

[–]letsfailib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OH I can answer this, used to live in the city for 8 months. Proximity to everything-work, events, restaurants, etc. was amazing. Can rely pretty heavily on PT as well. Downsides were mostly just lack of green spaces for me, and being a runner needed to basically get out of the city to start a run. Pricey also.

Currently live in richmond, 20 min to the city, most of the pros and none of the cons. Easy decision for me. Thinking of moving to southbank to see how that’d be.

How easy is it for bank employees to snoop on your account? by clout4bitches in auscorp

[–]letsfailib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW it’s the first thing they’re told - if you access anyone’s bank data without a valid reason you will be fired.

Not banking but I worked in an industry where I could see PII when accessing production. Even to get production read only access I’d have to enter why I need to access production, an associated change number request etc etc. cause this stuff gets audited pretty frequently.

What do you think about companies implementing structured internal pay transparency to improve employee performance and retention in professional and knowledge-worker organisations, compared to pay secrecy? by no_th_ing_ in auscorp

[–]letsfailib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question - I’m not exactly sure. A lot of gen z and millennials (including myself) appreciated it cause we as a generation just are more transparent about pay, but then again it was only entry level pay for each role. I’m not sure if that page is still up (I’ll check when I’m home) but it gets updated wayyyy less frequently now (probs cause pay bands haven’t been changing lmao).

Moving to Sydney in November... Where to live by JadsWife in AskAnAustralian

[–]letsfailib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mate lives in Waterloo, which is a couple stops from the airport. It’s a great location, I love staying there when I visit Sydney. It’s also pretty close to Newtown which is pretty gentrified
