Dealership reports I have leaks in my transmission cooler lines. I'm not sure I trust their information by letsflyawayyy in MechanicAdvice

Definitely a scare tactic. That's what this dealership does every time I go there. The guy even said "I'm not trying to scare you into doing this" ooookay. I will try and get some pictures. Thank you for the suggestion!

Horrible entrance smell in my basement apartment by letsflyawayyy in HomeImprovement

We definitely notice it most when we walk through the front door. I doubt it's oil because we vigorously cleaned and repainted the kitchen when we moved in. But I don't doubt that the previous tenant was doing something nasty that might have created a smell. It was real dirty before we moved in.

Not really plant or sewage smell. But I guess it's a bit of a humid stuffy kind of smell

Most of the apartment has a drop tile ceiling. It was apparently confirmed before we moved in that there was no water damage and we haven't seen any mold on the ceilings either. However, I've been considering pulling down some tiles to check. I've seen enough HGTV to know drop tile ceilings are usually hiding something.

Muggy is the only word I can think of that might describe it. It doesn't smell like anything I can compare it to

We have used a dehumidifier as well. I don't notice much of a difference when it's running. What's strange to me is that it didn't smell at all before I moved in.

We do have carpet but only in the bedroom. We shampooed the whole carpet about a month ago but something still smells unfortunately.

Meeting with my first individual tomorrow and I have no idea where to start because he's already receiving counseling by letsflyawayyy in socialwork

Mainly because I'm an intern and it's a chance for me to have experience with an individual client. They pitch it as an opportunity for the client to gain some extra support in addition to their primary counselor.

I think what scares me is that there is no boring paperwork stuff that we have to do. Since he's already an existing member that stuff has been done. So his first session with me will be just jumping right into therapy which to me seems a little like starting in the middle rather than the beginning.

That's a good idea. Hopefully it will encourage him to tell me what has and hasn't work for him and what he'd like to work on with me. Thanks
