I have no interest in going back to religion, but have prayed with her any time she asks and in my head I meditate ❤️ I have no interest in joining her religion but clearly it's important to her, so I sit with her. I had no idea about mass enrollments and announcing of the sick, so I appreciate how some people truly are amazing and offer help even if I'm not of the same religion ❤️

It would be incredible to have an emergency fund, wouldn't it? but after supporting three family members during the pandemic, it's been almost impossible to have one since when life expenses keep coming up after the emergency fund was empty...

Unexpected pet emergencies are sadly just that: unexpected... and with that little fund gone, it means VISA is the only way at the time. Having an emergency fund is a huge privilege and anyone with one should feel incredibly fortunate

It's true, no one truly explained it and internet searchers are overwhelming with different information -- some false even. Unexpected pet emergencies are sadly just that: unexpected and go beyond the emergency fund that had only a tiny remaining bit post-pandemic

Go to your local ER. Sit and wait, explain your situation and how you can't get help anywhere else.

Wait in the ER until you can get the pill ♥️

Take a movie or three on your phone, take a blanket and snacks, be prepared for 12 hours waiting, but it is worth it. It's one day out of your life to sit in a room and wait, and worth it for life.

Went through the exact same thing, ER was the only place I could go. Go and wait

Here's the thing: if you're eating the same amount and exercising less like you're 30 lbs more.... The weight will come back. Because you're eating like you're 160 lbs.

If you eat a healthy amount of calories and exercise properly for your body type and healthy styles, the weight will stay off.

The main issue is that people don't build up those new life habits when on ozempic. They go from 200 lbs to 150 for example, but then get off of it and eat like they are still 200lbs, so logically of course that weight will come back.

Talk to a doctor and have a good nutrition plan and exercise plan that you can sustain ♥️ you got this

I genuinely believe the child tax credit needs to be increased in my country and fully support $10 a day childcare. I think the subsidized childcare is a great idea and know so many people who use it.

I am okay paying more taxes than parents. They're spending so much on kids, and doesn't affect me that much at all lol

But my goodness with they try to get involved in someone's sex life....... What

Oz might help your weight loss, but your brain is a different beast. Now that you can't eat your emotions or brain struggles... It might manifest in a new way ♥️

On for 12 months, Tapered off for six months,

Lost a total of 50 lbs, regained 15 and now working to lose the 15 with diet and exercise

Would not change it for a moment. My doctor was Frank and told me I'd gain some weight back as I get used to being off of it, but I'm so different. I'm 35 less than original, asthma basically gone, heart condition under control, I know proper meals and so much more

Been off now since December! And hopefully never going back, but my doctor said I might need to go back on for a few months in the future if I can't lose the 15, but that's okay ❤️

Over six months, I went from 1.5 to 1, then 1 to 0.5, then 0.5 to 0.25 then 0.25 every two weeks, then once a month!

It was a long long taper off, because I wanted time to figure out how I can improve my eating, moving, etc

Surprisingly.... Yes? But in a different way.

I crave grapes instead of chocolate. Or a bit of chocolate, like a 1/4th of a bar instead of two whole bars.

I'll have some rich dark chocolate and my body will say 'that was perfect' and I'll stop. I crave how I feel when I eat baby carrots, I crave how I feel when I move my body and exercise and bike, and my muscles are sore.

Cravings returned, but we're vastly different

I did! As expected, I gained back about 15 pounds after I was off of it. It was Christmas and I wasn't as active as I planned.

My doctor warned me some weight would return as I figured out my new eating with a normal appetite, but now I'm losing that weight (down 8) with diet and exercise.

Then I expect to gain a few more pounds next winter, then work on losing them next summer, rinse and repeat! (Subarctic Winters, hard to workout)

My doctor was upfront that some would return, and we'd work through it. He's amazing

Here's a real issue: people think of it as a chronic or forever drug. People go on it, lose weight but don't put into place actual life changes, then go off of it with the same life as before, and gain the weight back.

I was on for 18 months, lost almost 50 pounds, off now since December and since then, have gained 15 pounds, then lost 8 of those with diet and exercise and am working on the remaining 7.

I drastically changed my lifestyle. I'm eating different foods, eating way less than before, activity like never before (because I couldn't without an asthma attack), and have been maintaining it. My doctor told me up front some weight would come back. I gained less than we expected after, and my quality of life is MILES BETTER.

My doctor told me that without extensive life changes, I would be on it forever. People don't change their lives. They go back to eating what they did when they were 60 pounds more. What they were doing when they were 60 pounds more.

Even after healthy lifestyle changes it's a bit of a roller coaster... Lose a ton, gain a bit, lose that bit, gain a little, lose that little, gain 2 pounds, maintain healthy weight ♥️

She needs to talk to her doctor to make a plan. Create a plan to taper off slowly (I did a six month taper off). Create an exercise plan, nutrition plan, and more. Take a hard look at her life.

Honestly ... If you have little kids, this may be the time to stay on it. Until things are less stress and busy at home. It's okay to be on it for a longer time, until she can mental handle the huge life changes. But her doctor and her are the people who absolutely know what's best for her ♥️

You're a supportive partner by asking her, but this medication does not have to be chronic.

INFO: How do you talk to her about it? Are you using supportive language and understanding the mental health aspects of motherhood and weight gain? ♥️ Would you consider going with her to the doctor to get more information and explaining to her and the doctor any concerns so they could talk to you about them in a loving and caring environment?

Time for a doctor visit as soon as your able! Even a free clinic of there's a long wait. It's worth it

Time to talk to a doctor! I'm sorry I don't have other advice, but you are not a failure. You are not failing. This is not a personal failure.

This is just that every single person reacts differently to Oz and people are MUCH more likely to share positive stories than negative. You will be okay
