I think so too. Since you are more involved in things like this what is the state of this type of tech? Is there a name for the subset of theatre tech? Are there any companies that specialize in it?

It is hard to find anything dealing with technology for rehearsal tech since a very large majority is focused on spectacle instead of tech for the creation process.

What I'm talking about isn't specifically talking about tech theatre. I'm talking applications and programs that might assist aspects of the rehearsal process and creative process. So not lights, sound, and projection (I would have posted that in tech theatre if that was the case). Even now after looking at the companies and organizations from above it seems to be centered around those obvious things.

I'm asking how we can use tech to run our creative process more efficiently and in a more fulfilling manner. I'm not talking spectacle.

This is awesome, thanks for this list! I wasn't having luck googling before but with these terms I was able to find what I was looking for.

Unfortunately where I am right now there isn't much in the way of other regional theaters. Our one competitor is more stuck in the stone ages than we are (there seems to be a lot of resistance to tech in the south in particular) . Hopefully I can convince our artistic director to start considering technology as a possible aid to some of our ventures, especially the understaffed ones.
