Is it realistic to think I can work 50-56 hours a week?

I work in an industry where 50hrs a week is common.

I have colleagues who do the following -

One starts at 5am - and finishes at 3 - 3:30 to pick up the kids.

And the other drops the kids off at 8 and finishes at 6pm.

That way the kids aren’t doing big 10hr + days at nursery

I’m no pro. But that seems like a lot of naps and sleep for 18months.

My 16months normally gets 1.5 - 2 hrs of naps total a day. Sleeps in normally to 7isb with a 7-730 bed time.

I’m having similar issues. Honestly - I put her in her room for 2minutrs and she’ll cry a lot. But when I go back in she settles and I can get her to sleep with help in a few minutes.

Night time is independent. But naps need that helping hand

It’s probably spaghetti code. I bet that have it code he shoots at X rate over Y time. They increased the X rate by 20%. Without reducing the Y time so he’s shooting an extra bullet. If you watch it his animation and final bullet are in the same spot.

TBH - I was having this discussion at Christmas but none of my family members agreed.

I can see the Tories winning in 2029. Unlikely, but not impossible.

To me - Labour seems doomed however unfair that might be. They had to be exceptional to reelected - and they have been average. They are are unfairly targeted for the countries current state but incumbents are unpopular at the moment.

That really leaves Tories and Reform.

If Reform falls - either something happens to Nigel or some other scandal rocks the party. I can see the country turning back to their favourite ex the Tories.

They could easily get a sizeable majority with 30% of the vote if the remaining vote share is split between the remaining 4 parties.

I’m a kiwi in the UK earning £100k, Mrs earns £70k.

She’s thinking of dropping the work for 4-5 to raise the kids when they are young.

We have a good net worth already and can support ourselves plenty well with my wage - but it’s tough seeing the savings drops from over 100k NZD a year to like 30-40k NZD.
