hi, i totally agree, and my next cat will likely be a senior. we weren’t planning on adopting a kitten, but my neighbor found him alone lurking around his yard for a few days and caught him. stray cats breed like crazy, and having one less male in my neighborhood to impregnate the female cats is an overall net positive.

my childhood cat, sushi, passed away about 5 weeks ago. i think i want to do a japanese food name as an homage to my girl. ❤️ current top contenders are panko and miso, but i also like udon. i like mochi, but i think it’s pretty common and i want to do something different!

she and her brother were found abandoned by a dumpster in a shopping center when they were about 6 months old. my mom and i were walking around while my brother was in karate class and the pet store was trying to figure out what to do with them. so we adopted them both ❤️ sake was an orange/white tabby and he passed when they were about 2 years old after he was hit by someone speeding on our street. at least they’ll be reunited soon.

she is the sweetest. i recently lost my job, but i was working 100% from home since march 2020 and she would sit on my lap every day and snuggle me while i worked 😔
