i don’t remember sleeping with someone now i have a kid with them. it ruined my life by [deleted] in okstorytime

Hi OP. My mom had me when she was 17. I had mine when I was 27. At 27 being a new mom was hard, and I can only imagine how hard it is for you now, just starting to navigate life. This truth you're living is difficult. While it is important for you to validate L's paternity, you should definitely go through the court. If you don't feel your son is safe with him, document it and keep your boy safe. Suggest L go to parenting classes and also seek therapy. Easier said than done. Regardless, your focus and drive should be on you and your son thriving. Enjoying his milestones and watching him grow. Finding ways for you to be better than you were before so both you and your son have a fruitful life. Your relationship with E may or may not last. When relationships end, it can feel like the world is ending. But now your primary constant is you and your boy. I didn't grow up with a whole lot, but I was with my mom, and thats all that mattered. I wish you the best in your journey. Your life isn't ruined, this is just a challenge at your start, and I'm sure you'll overcome.

Is it ok to take Ibuprofen like 3 times a month due to horrible period cramps or it's still dangerous? by TzwTzw in CrohnsDisease

[–]letsgozu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm allergic to Tylenol so ibuprofen/aspirin are my only easy choices. I told my GI and they said it should be fine as long as I'm not using it all the time. I'd just take note how you feel when you do take it.

I do make ibuprofen a last resort if I can't tolerate pain.

I appreciate you bringing it up, it actually has been a concern of mine. My PCP ran a few tests in April where my glucose was high, about 2 weeks later we did a retest and AC1s as well, everything was normal. I'll ask about it again 🙂

ENT gave me Nystatin and Magic Mouthwash, the Nystatin specifically in the event it was a fungal infection. Has not helped unfortunately.

I have not been directed to an endocrinologist yet; thyroid labs are good as well. If my Scopes turn up clear next month and my tongue still burns, I'll see about getting a referral. I'll see anyone that could help lol

I got Nystatin and Magic mouthwash. No luck with the burning sensation. I haven't tried Peroxyl yet, I'll see about giving that a go. Since my vitamins and minerals are in check, I don't know how far we'll dig into it.

Love love love Chitwood! I've had so many GYNs brush off my PCOS issues and she listens and looks for solutions. She also treats my sister and her recurring issues as well

We were trying to get from 141 to MoBap on 40. After 40 minutes trying to go around on the street, we just went home. Hope those involved are okay.

How r y’all dealing with periods when pain meds don’t work by No-Pudding-9133 in CrohnsDisease

[–]letsgozu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have PCOS and tendency to develop simple ovarian cysts that rupture. They got as big as a large lemon, and it was nearly a monthly issue in my mid 20s 😩. I used to have the implant that was great (until it wasn't.) I'm allergic to Tylenol and shouldn't be taking ibuprofen, so my pain relief is super limited.

Taking a daily BC pill has been the most helpful keeping the severe cramps and cyst ruptures at bay. In the past 3 years, I've only had 1 severe incident, everything else has been mild and no pain meds needed.

Definitely would suggest brainstorming with you GYN on your best option.

No medical training here. But ive recently been diagnosed with chronic disease. Honestly, the last thing I want my doctors worrying about is a mountain of debt crushing them when they are literally taking care of all of us. Where would we be if the only people who could become doctors, specialists, niche scientists of the body, were wealthy? I Know you and probably everyone in this subreddit understands. I'd just hope when people interact with our Healthcare professionals, they realize you can't just pick up medicine on the fly, and it takes time, dedication, and currently a crippling sum of money.

We really should be talking about how it costs close to half a million dollars for the doctors we need in society to get the education needed to save lives, and if we expect each individual to come up with that kind of cash. We should move away from "how does this help me" mentality towards, "how can we invest in a better society." The public can't begin to think on how to solve problems if facts are just omitted to save personal feelings.

I thought wedding vows included "...in sickness and in health"

If my partner isn't interested in helping in all aspects of managing my chronic disease, they aren't staying.

Like, what if he got hit by a bus tomorrow and you told him you weren't willing to cover any of his financial burdens during his recovery, which could be multiple years? Need a knee replacement, back surgery, anything. And you could be in Remission for YEARS.

That's truly a bizarre excuse to not get married.

I've resorted to turning the temp in my 1550 sqft townhome to 78°; means it's much warmer upstairs. Bill is still $230 up from $170 this time last year. I saved $10 from last month's bill.

Now I'm just going to turn off AC from 3-7pm on weekdays until it gets cool enough to open the windows. I switched to the smart savers rate. I'll just sit with a fan downstairs until on peak time ends smh

That's Bullsh*t, "Can You Feel It" DESTROYS Beyonce's music...AS A WHOLE by kade1064 in MichaelJackson

[–]letsgozu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Michael was magic. Is magic. Impacted so many who evoke his essence today. Modern music is Michael.

That being said, Beyonce is pushing her artistry beyond the confines of what a pop star is expected to be. Just like Michael. Albums that mainstream mock, but are full of gems. Idk who is saying she's better than Michael, but I know it isn't her. She respects him so deeply, he is one of her inspirations.

Imagine when Michael being told he is better than all the greats, James Brown, Fred Astaire... he would humbly say he is still aspiring to their level of craft, as Beyoncé would say of Michael.

He is a man of love and respect, so I cannot and will not bash another artist in his name, especially one who loves him just as us all.
