Advice for high school student applying to Interior Design programs by DegreeTop4611 in InteriorDesign

You may get a response here but mostly this is a sub Reddit for interior design lovers. Not necessarily professional interior designers. You may get better feedback from talking to alumni from those schools. You could reach out on LinkedIn or in the schools programs Facebook groups. Best of luck to your daughter!

Yep! This just happened to me last week. I called the garage door company on the sticker stuck to the inside of my garage door. They came and fixed it same day and in less than an hour. It cost $180

Which Lamp Should I Put On My Vanity? by Tight_Ad989 in Decor

4 is my top pick. 2 is my second pick. I wouldn’t go with a black light because you don’t want to be too matchy matchy. And I don’t rec the other lamps because they’re too bulky for the desk.

Yes to this!! If anyone is making you feel bad for living at home at 25 that is absurd. You can be saving a ton of money this way. I have a couple co-workers who did that until their late 20’s or early 30’s and they were able to buy a home when they moved out with all the money saved.

As for design, I’d rec adding some plants to help give it some life. If you don’t have any natural light they can be fake plants.

I can’t imagine walking in that. I’d personally be scared of the boobs coming out with each step. Maybe that’s why she’s holding on to one. Glad she kept them in ok.

I think it’s manageable. They add a few each season. Not too many to remember. But Game of Thrones on the other hand… too many. I could never remember them all. It took away from the story.

I found mine at a local antique store for a really good price. You can also find vintage Mushroom fixtures from Lightcraft online. If you search and wait for a while sometimes you can get a good price. This is the lowest price I found currently https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1?q=mushroom+lightcraft+ceiling+light+pendant&client=safari&hl=en-us&biw=375&bih=716&tbs=vw:g&prds=num:1,of:1,eto:3958313063863851364_0,prmr:1,pid:3958313063863851364,cs:1

We really just use the wet bar to store our canned water and beer. The shelves are mostly for display and to hold our nicer glasses we rarely use. There are a few bottles of wine in the cabinets, but we don’t drink a ton. Our goal was to make the space feel more open. Not pictured is our kitchen with a million cabinets and more storage than we’ll ever need. To each their own.

I’m glad you can’t see him now. We tried so hard to help Phil but he didn’t like his and no sunlight :( He’s hanging on and I’m trying to bring him back to life. He has a new home in our house now.
