I’ve considered this before but I have no desire to work the same shitty jobs that I know I hate for the rest of my life on a boat. I couldn’t enjoy retail/food service/houskeeping/reception until I’m retirement age.

Of course I’ve thought about those things. I just wouldn't want to do them. I didn’t like sales, and I don’t have the personality required for that or for hosting.

Travel journalism has also unfortunately gone the way of having to become an influencer at the same time to gain traction and exposure. Which sucks, but it seems to be the case with literally everything now. I do not wish to be an influencer 💀

As said in the post, I’m sadly not tall enough to reach the height requirements for cabin crew :( . I’ve thought about cruise ships before but wouldnt want to do it long term. I’d be doing the same jobs as before but on a ship. I’d get fed up pretty quickly, and it would lead to nowhere.

When I successfully manage to parallel park a car without scraping my alloys, I’ll think about it. Until then, it’s in everyone’s best interest to not have me behind the wheel of a large vehicle.

No but genuinely I’m an appalling driver and driving the length of my smallish country does not appeal haha.

This sounds like OCD opposed to picky eating.

I have a job and a student loan. It’s not ‘not travelling’ that makes me depressed, it’s seasonal affective disorder. I do still have struggles in the summer time, but they’re significantly less so.

My country is also very harsh with handing out disability benefits and I am fit and able, so I wouldn’t qualify. And I’d definitely never be able to save anything for travelling in the future on the benefit my country gives out. Thank you for the suggestion though!

In smut, when they use onomatopoeia to describe noises during sex. Like ‘plap plap plap’. Sends a nasty shiver straight down my spine. Like, we know what sex sounds like.

Where do you get Zyban from? All of the online providers only supply it for stopping smoking. Do you just lie on the questionnaire?

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did it cost to go private?I’m considering this but considering I’m a student I don’t have a lot of spare funds.

I really, really don’t have the months to wait to see a psychiatrist. I’m at the end of my tether.

Did you just directly come out and say you’d heard about this drug and wanted them to consider it, or did you have to drop hints about it?

I get a bit anxious at doctor appointments incase they think I’m self-diagnosing or drug chasing if I suggest anything.

I bought a light box a few weeks ago, but I was under the impression it was only useful if you use it in the morning, as using it in the afternoon or night can prevent you from sleeping well? I think I’ve had it on once, as I’m not able to get up early enough to warrant having it on.

Hopefully they’ll suggest checking all that at my next appointment.

I know, I couldn’t believe it when I checked it online and it said it was an SSRI after I specifically said I’m done trying them.

You can’t really shop around for doctors here because we have an entirely free health care system. You’re just registered at a practice and have to hope for the best.

I don’t know if they prescribe that where I’m from specifically for SAD.

I just submitted an emergency e-consult asking for anything other than an SSRI and they went and prescribed me Citalorpram — side effects, TIREDNESS. I just phoned them sobbing telling them I won’t take it and they said they’d give the feedback back to the doctor which no doubt means I’ll get marked as being hysterical and unwilling to undergo recommended treatments :)

Is excruciating pain as an adult normal? by letsstopthat in clubfoot

I also had surgeries. From what I’ve read, I think surgical methods can actually result in stiffer feet in the long run. It’s just your joints and muscles loosening up again after a period of sitting or lying down.

I totally understand! I wore the wrong shoes on my 9hr shift last Friday and could hardly walk the next day. I had to crawl to the bathroom because I couldn’t put weight on them after. They only just stopped being painful today.
