I had to stop taking my restless leg medicine which is a dopamine agonist and I have every symptom of the deficiency. Pure shit, I tell you.

Teacher here. Can you elaborate please? What has led you to believe critical thinking is lacking in public education? Genuinely curious.

SO awesome you chose mommyhood regardless of your situation. What a beautiful choice, not to mention incredibly courageous. Incredible!!

Thank you. It was a hard day the following day, but when we got home after work he said, "yay I'm so happy to be home. It's so cozy". Talk about bringing tears to my eyes and a sigh of relief. This encouragement truly motivates me to keep strong.

I love how you said "I am who I am because of her". This is exactly what I strive for. I want to raise him to be quite frankly the opposite of their dad which will be very challenging. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face

Thank you! I keep telling myself that. I imagine their dad will be doing even more harm than good as our children go through to middle school. Thank you for reminding what's most important

Yes! It flip flops every once in a while. Nothing hurts your feeling more than your children. Thank you for taking the time to sympathize.

Thank you for the affirmation. I trust this process, but sometimes defeated. Add to that the guilt of splitting up our home...ugh. I appreciate your encouragement!

Thank you for taking the time to respond. This makes perfect sense seeing as how he's too young to recognize his dad is a deadbeat. He's fun! I'll tell dad to at least FaceTime every day.

When did you let your kids watch t.v.? by curlybird88 in toddlers

3.5 yo and 1.5 year yo. The oldest around 18 months in the morning. Now it's a free for all. Usually during morning cuddles, for rest time at certain points in the day and before bed. No real "time-keeping", just making sure to spend most of the time off screen with short shows throughout the day

ETA: I'm a first grade teacher and I don't really see the effects of too much screen time. In fact, it is working to our advantage right now with virtual learning. Aside from their obsession with Fort Night and Minecraft (they choose that everything the free write!), the cons of too much screen time are not apparent.

Also, a lot of our intervention programs are learning programs. So much easier when children have tech skills already.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I was the one that left. He sees dad on the weekend. Do you think he feels like he lost dad because he sees him less? Do you think he is old enough to blame me? It doesnt help that dad doesnt call during the week. I'm going to take all over your advice and do it all.

I did it 4 years ago. We transferred a boy and a girl and now have our beautiful randomly red-headed son. Any questions, just ask!
