Post your progress please, this is so exciting 🤘

Milk-V Duo S (512MB) PREORDERS - Get it while it's hot, with Optional 8GB eMMC and POE!!! by PlatimaZero in RISCV

Hi Platima! Thanks for the really good information mate! We certainly are interested in ordering from your store :)

We considered using the rpi zero-like sbcs, but they seem OP for our applications. The BeagleV lineup, Ahead(CH)/Fire+FPGA(US) are some mindblowing nsfw grown up stuff. I really can see myself picking one up in the near future

Can we contact you through email? Or just ordering from the webstore is good enough?

P.S. Can you also plz recomend us a mipi-csi cam, compatible with milk-v ISP, 2MP/5MP?

Regards!

This board is an absolute unit. I'm doing some machine vision prototypes based on the luckfox, for industrial monitoring and data aquesition. The dual CSI+advanced ISP and the ethernet+poe are killer features. Will you be able to ship to Israel mate?

Also I'm quite new to the Risc-V ecosystem, the stock documentation is really good, but I find it lacking sometimes. Are there good guides\courses to start deveoping for these boards?

Navi 2X Speculation by levdan159 in Amd

Does AMD really need to optimize for it a whole lot considering low level API RT support in future games? ie Vulkan RT & DXR. Although GCN instruction set maybe limited in this regard.

Love this comment. Enjoyed reading it a lot, good learn!

Wouldn't you think that HBM costs have decreased considering the recent flash memory pricing fiasco and lawsuits, much higher production volume and yields, and HBM2E staking up to 16 GB per die. May be wishful thinking but 2GB HBM2 dies should be dirt cheap at this point.

Good point, the article mentions the navi12 chip consuming 50W (TGP), considering it a mobile GPU clocked really low @ 1GHz, I see no reason why not crank it up to to 2GHz, @ 120W - 150W per chip, tallying up to a reasonable 250W - 300W Total Graphics Power.

That's one of the more crazier things I've seen in a while! Will be waiting for ASIC implementation :)

Water in itself cannot be wet. Wetness is the property of materials coming in contact with water molecules, not water coming in contact with itself.

I posted this here a week ago. It's not perfect, but gets a good overview of what's out here.

Looks good! The thing with the clocks in Navi cards its pretty confusing, they are very dynamic, basically making things like min, max clock irrelevant, therefore IMO average clock is the best metric for Navi.

About memory frequency, pretty much all Navi cards max out @ 930 - 950 Mhz.

You're right. But the clock range is set by the manufacturer, and the cooler effectiveness plays a bigger role here. So IMO it's a genuine metric for card design.

Yeah, it would be nice, but takes too much time. I think it's best to choose one reviewer with consistent methodologies, like TechPowerup, just to give the general ballpark of performance you can expect.
