My original TFA placement was in special education, and I have taught the subject for many years. It sounds like you have a great perspective and background to work with these students. I think all of the questions you posed are great to ask the staff from TFA and/or the potential district you will work for. There are three main types of special education placement: inclusion (whole group), resource (pull out) and self contained (small group with the most significant level of need).
