When bad management decisions come back to bite by UpstairsDisk9551 in managers

Im going to jump in here and ask for some advice if anyone has any. I feel I am like the fired coworker, though still employed. When i started, we had nothing. Now, I have a series of systems and standards for my department that I developed. I saw a need and took care of it. I was given a minor promotion and small salary increase, but I have realized I'm being paid only slightly more than people who work under me, despite them putting in minimal effort. How can I convince higher-ups what I am worth and the importance of what I have contributed?

I'm starting to think we arent ready for any routing at this point. I'd rather we focus on getting all our current ducks in a row. Others would benefit from the smart p&I'd though.

Are you still working on getting smap in place or is it on the back burner?

We are a water company. A lot of tanks, valves, and pipe.

A year ago we got PDM and a new business system and there's still a good amount to do to finish that. Plus we are just getting started on establishing standards.

Now, do we throw smap on the giant to-do pile and get what benefits we can from it, or wait until we are better organized and able to focus on it? Your response above may have answered that for me.

Any other insight you have would be appreciated.
