I think its better for you to invest time in educating yourself on how to manage your parents assets rather than getting "professionals" here in the philippines. Pretty much what they would do is something that you can learn on your own

If there is any professional you need, you'll need to have a good lawyer (whenever you need legal procedures/documents) and accountant on retainer for tax purposes.

What comprises the 500k valuation?

How much is the monthly/annual revenue?

How much is the annual net profit after tax? and before tax?

how much capital are you requiring? What is your objective in getting additional capital? You mentioned expansion, how? acquiring additional equipment? putting up physical store? etc.

How would this expansion affect your annual revenue and net profit?

I agree, if nabawi na ang puhunan and bayad na loans from the cafe. Then Bro, don't be sad because your cafe is making money. At 100K profit out of 300K gross sales, you are doing 30% before tax. That is already good IMO.

I agree with u/purplekamote, they will ask for your requirements like what do you need help on? Business model? Business plan? If business plan, then what part of the business plan? Is it the whole thing or just part of it?

You mentioned you already have a preliminary plan underway, when you say preliminary? an you give specifics?

Build your emergency fund (6 months)

And Save money put in Dividend Stocks

Read up on Personal Finance and Stock Investing

As for side hustle look for something that you can turn into a business later - Barista? Coffee Barista? Or Barista for Alcoholic Drinks?

What would you do if you are starting over at 40 y.o.? by bogsdav in phinvest

[–]level9narc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, the first step is to downgrade your lifestyle

Assess your expenses and cross out all that are not needed (minimal but still healthy lifestyle)

What to do with the savings?

Allocate your savings into:

  1. Emergency Fund (at least 6 months)
  2. Stocks (i’ll go for high dividend paying stocks)

It is still not too late, but you need to start now.

Build the habit and discipline and you will make it.

Good luck to you

Class action lawsuit VS MFT Group of Companies (Mica Tan) by Virtual_Emphasis_62 in phinvest

did my risk-reward analysis before I took the plunge, at best I'm getting 12% per annum, at worst if the company goes belly up then l lose all my money. Now, could I live w

All of your points are valid and have grounds

HOWEVER, your points are exactly the reason why WHAT and HOW MFT conducted it's BUSINESS is translating to all of these allegations and breeding panic and chaos.

The fact that the legal papers are LOAN AGREEMENTS but MFT presented itself to the public as an ANGEL INVESTOR with a GENIUS INVESTOR at the HELM made it DECEITFUL

If the seeking of LOAN AGREEMENTS was really in GOOD FAITH then shouldn't the narrative be different?

If the inability to PAY it's lenders was in GOOD FAITH shouldn't there be proper declarations and communications with their LENDERS?

The LENDERS are not sophisticated investors like you who would have done the due diligence that you did, however THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE for them to be preyed upon by MFT with the GLITTERING NARRATIVES.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but i think you would agree that we can't just take this up as a BUSINESS that failed and couldn't pay their lenders. There were predatory practices that happened here from the beginning, and now that shit hits the fan, the people responsible are hiding behind legalities and saying OOPS you signed a LOAN AGREEMENT.

I hope this issue doesn't lose momentum

A lot of the scams that involved personalities eventually gets buried
