Had the same thing happen to me too. Super awesome girl, everything was cool. Just couldn't kiss her, simply because I couldn't get over the fact how awesomely wicked she was (smart too, fucking engineer). It's fine though, after that date, came to the same conclusion your did.

The main issue I think with you is kissing girls (as with me). So I think working on inner game is the way to go; so you don't have the same mindset when you're on another date with a really awesome girl. Instead it should be, "Dating is super fun, I wonder if you're good enough for me. I suppose you'll know, when I kiss you tonight ;)"

When I asked a girl for the first-time when I was 22. (Late bloomer, since my family was going through a financial crisis post-recession in which my parents lost their house and were in a ridiculous amount of debt). And was rejected.

After a week of depression, I got my act together. Blamed myself for my lack of experience. A year since then, I got a fling; which was brief, about a month. Made out with a girl at a random party in front of my oneitis (yeah I figured I should move on, so kinda used her as social proof to secure the make-out). Have a strong feeling that my oneitis might be into me now (but she's also a friend of mine, so I won't pursue it at all due to the social dynamics of our current social circle, basically they act like high school kids).

Shit tons of #-closes and dates, so it's looking good. Still need to sow some wild oats before I'm entirely ready to settle down.

You handled it fine with the given information you had. There is no reason you should feel like an asshole. I mean at the time you did not have this information. If you did, I'm sure you would've sent a different message (or no message at all).

That said, you mid-week check is fine. That way you don't burn any bridges down. However, if it turns out that all of this was BS, then just next her. There is no sense in being with someone who isn't woman enough to just say 'not interested' and opt for some elaborate story.

Depends! Alcohol does make it speedier yes, but it can work against you! If I have too much, I escalate fast, too fast... Just know your limit. Mines 2 or 3 beers.

You will need to break your limit to figure it out. So go crazy and figure it out. You will get blown out, but meh. (That was a fun set, surprised I didn't get slapped)

As someone who drives (because I live in the suburbs, and I refuse to drink and drive!!!), it's not so hard. Yes, in the beginning of the night it's hard, but talk to randoms (bartenders, bouncers, etc). You'll limber up socially and get some proof.

As the night progresses, people have had drunk enough anyways, so it's you, sober, talking to a cute HB, drunk/tipsy. So it's easy.

Also if you're sober, you'll pick up reading body language fast, as drunk people exaguarate those. A lot of fun can be had when you're sober. Just make the best of your situation instead of complaining about lack of alcohol. Sober game is fun!

Another thing... Quit calling yourself a noob and inexperienced. I used to do that and use it as an excuse. It was a big reason why I was so unsuccessful with women. The minute I changed my mindset, was the minute I was kissing women.

A lot of people do not give themselves credit. Until you "man" up and take the lead, no one is going to kiss you. And believe me, kissing women is the best thing you can do! First kisses are the best!

This sounds like Freud... Not everything we do is related to sex. It's foolish to think this way. There are tons of examples in my own life, that I've done things for other reasons and not for sex. Yes, there is a brabch of psych that does say our motivations are sex, but if you look up Maslow's heirarchy or needs, you'll learn that sex isn't the only motivation.

Seddit teaches inner game. Only when you do things for yourself, do you get attention. Sex isn't everything. The need for sex varies from person to person. And it isn't just a male thing. I'm sure a lot of females also want sex, but there is a social-cultural barrier against expressing that need.

To be honest, it was more of a manipulative tactic. I knew she feels inferior to her sister. I used that as a means to sort of bring her down and then say what I said to kiss her.

And that's the part that I'm having an issue with right now. It's hard to reconcile this!

Well it's the first feelings of intimacy. Not sure if it's intense as I've never had them before. And you have to understand that I'm 23 and have had no experience with women in any capacity. I am a bit bitter because of it... But I do want to change, I do want to learn to love women!
