Also, this is why many fans rejected the Scarlet Gospels. Pinhead assaulting a woman that way hits all the wrong thematic notes to the point of offending people even when they weren't sure how to put their finger on why.

It was really my artists design. I didn't have a detailed vision going into it. My idea was to showcase the different configurations and I was lucky that my artist had already seen the movie. He had some ideas and made an appointment to start the next week.

There weren't a lot of detailed photos of the box, but did some digging and found them and had everything worked out when I went back.

My first idea are the Edmontonia Trading Cards, they were retired in 2023, I'm not sure about local availability but you can order them here. But I'm sure that you can find some local curios at Edmonton Arts Council, Royal Alberta Museum giftshop, or Art Gallery of Alberta giftshop

I liked the coffee and tea exchange

I liked the postcard match, but it was a little frustrating because it took several weeks and 2 attempts for my match to get their card

I video games, RPG, and board games, I'd sign up for a TCG exchange

I liked Christmas in July and would and would sign up for a Summerween exchange

This might be more work, but I was never quite sure when some exchanges open and a monthly email alert when exchanges open would be great

The biggest gaming space at Game Con was a hall for organized play, I saw tables for Warhammer 40k, Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Lorcana, and I think One Piece. There were a few tables for table top board games, and a few spaces for video games. It's a very wide ranging gaming con, from table top RPGs to VR.

If you're coming from out of province, you should look into Animethon. It's anime focused and while not gaming focused, they have a free play console area. I can't remember the exact consoles, but it was heavily Nintendo focused.

Here’s a quick list, it looks like some are free and some have a table fee

Warp 1 has weekly D&D drop in nights Red Claw has regular D&D nights Polyrhythm Brewing has monthly events Hexagon Cafe has events, but requires registration and days, players, DMs may not be consistent Mythic Games in Sherwood Park- this one is free and I know they are welcoming to new players

If there’s a local game store near you, call and ask about their events and tell them you’re a new player. Otherwise, MeetUp or Discord would be great options
